Did you guys get payment requests for Siguard? I've still heard nothing from NY on him.

Got mine a few days ago

I don't know what's going on with NY lately but the same thing happened with my Ryugen Yomi: Most people got their payment request at release day but me and a few others got theirs weeks later.

I have no idea why they do this, maybe they get their shipments in waves, but they didn’t answer me when I asked them about this.

Meh, I'll just go pay anyway.

The last I heard from N-Y over Sigurd was that his release date was bounced from the 15th to the 31st and then to the 23rd.

In other news, I should finally have Ryugen Yomi in hand by the end of the week. Along with a horse with no name.

Yeah I'm going to pay about $70 for him. I didn't realize someone I know's site charges extra.

So I've had Ouja for a few days now.

He is insanely fun to play with and pose. Unfortunately, due to said characteristic, it also makes it very difficult to choose a pose to keep him in for display.

I already know how I'll pose him...whenever I get one that is.

I'm considering tracking down an R&M Venosnaker or the one made for the Souchaku Henshin series. Sure as hell can't get a Genocider any time in the intermediate future.

Just got SHF Trideron in, and I have to say, first impression . . . the packaging as a whole is premium as fuck!

The black box, glossy manual, it screams high-end release.

The sculpt is clean, paint is clean, fit and finish all clean.

The feature set . . . not QUITE what I feel is worth $250. The Itassha Robo was like $150 on sale at HLJ and it fricking transforms while seating four SHF characters.

I get the transforming might not be possible, and those other two modes are lame anyways, and i'm not even sure what other features i'd want. It lights up, the wheels spin free, it has the detachable cockpit, mounting points for multiple Tire Koukans, seats two, has the Mr Belt driver mounting swap gimmick, extra hands, lots of good stuff. None of it is as dynamic as a fully transforming release, though.

Maybe coming with the two go-karts, which are smaller and don't do much on their own would make me feel alot better.

On its own, however, it looks TERRIFIC, and in a convoy with Ride Chaser and Mach Chaser it reaches epic levels of awesome . . .

That said, I hope someone with more money than sense (or Tamashii Nations) will do a diarama with like 6-7 Triderons and multiple Drive's to replicate the Rider Kick Spam finisher

Quick thoughts on the new Figuarts I got.

Drive Type Speed: Freaking gorgeous figure. The detail, paint work, articulation is all amazing. He's spot on to the show suit. Very lite on the accessories (still wish he came with the gun and sword) but the Max Flare bonus tire kinda makes up for it. Not a complete package but still quite nice.

Mashin Chaser: Great detail and paint like Drive, though I find him to look a bit segemented and his abdomen to be a bit narrower than in the show. Still looks great. Articulation slightly limited by the design, but still quite good. Has more accessories than Drive though not by a lot. Bonus Midnight Shadow tire is kind of an odd inclusion for Chaser. Also not having any effect parts makes it kind of boring. Still a good figure overall.

Agito Renewal: Amazing figure, just all around perfect. Seriously no complaints. Has all the accessories he needs. Easily recommend it.

Ouja is actually one of the Ryuki Riders I'm not that fond of posing, if only because the loose armor is a bit of a pain. Kinda wish that thing was just, you know, properly attached to the torso.

The right elbow joint on mine also came extremely tight so that wasn't fun at all.

He's still pretty cool, as are all Ryuki figures. He's no Abyss though. (abyss was my first and still the most fun, figuarts)

My KyoryuBlack's shoulder joints are very, very, very stiff. The left one will move like it should, swinging back and forward, and such, but it creaks and sounds like it might break if it try to put a little strength into it. And the right shoulder, well it hardly swings at all I'm afraid to try and put any strength into it for fear of breaking it. Is there anything I can do to loosed them up a little? Because I really want to play with this guy but I'm afraid I'll snap his arms off.

Any place that sells R/C equipment will usually carry it. A small bottle will cost about $5 and it's more than enough to last you a long while.

What I learned in another thread about the base Kiva suit makes me suspect that the excessive delay on the Figuarts version actually has a lot to do with the suit's design. The Dark Kiva and Emperor Kiva suits are both more flexiThe chest/shoulders appear to be a solid piece. If Figuarts does something with a high level of screen accuracy, it's going to have extremely limited upper-body movement, both in the shoulders and abdominal region.

Of course, they could adjust so that shoulder movement is possible, but at the cost of screen accuracy. I suspect that's not an easy choice for Bandai to make, and it would explain why it's taken so long to finalize a Figuarts Kiva base form design.

I've been checking the webstore listings for January periodically of late, wondering when the order deadline for that month's stuff would finally show up, and sometime tonight they finally updated it as the 20th of this month. So for those with Chaser or the Beatchaser (or SIC Infinity Style, or Hulkbuster) on order at NY, I'm thinking we'll be getting the payment reminders soon.

Thanks for the reminder, I expected this to happen so I payed my January-order last week.

I don't think there's a big conspiracy here. He was always a low priority release since there was the Souchaku Henshin version just before the switch to the Figuarts line and he's not popular like Den-o to have warranted a new version quickly.

Now it probably just comes down to timing. They're in the middle of updating the older figures which look dated next to the modern releases, so I think it makes more sense to redo those before giving us the final Heisei character, which would eave us with an awkward mix of the new shiny releases and the old dated ones.

This way everything is more uniform and when they do get around to hyping up Kiva, they can show him along with everyone else, without any of them sticking out like sore thumbs.

It's not what you want to hear, but this was to be expected, the pattern was very clear after September.

Yeah I was expecting it honestly. I'll figure it out, or just have the order cancelled. If I have to pay more later when I have it is fine with me. Rather than pay less when I'm broke.

They really just need to take the option away.

That or update when you choose the pay later option with specific details informing you you may be required to pay in a few weeks time. The wording in their email when you choose pay later right now says "you will be receiving a request for payment a few days to a few weeks before the times release"

It's not fair to people to suddenly get mutiple payment requests for the same week in the month for mutiple months Orders.

I feel you. The same thing happened to me when they started this shit out of nowhere. I know it isn’t really their fault, but still.

I had to cancel everything besides Omnimon, even Knuckle, because I just couldn’t pay everything three months in advance.

I hope you get some money together instead of having to miss out on Chaser though.

But they already kind of do the second thing, as soon as Bandai announces the deadline for the pre-orders (which does happen on short notice) they e-mail you.

They should really write it down somewhere though, or scrap the Pay Later option altogether, because leaving your customers to figure this stuff out for themselves is really lazy and incompetent.

Yeah that sucks. Yeah I'll look into it I have a week and I really do want Chaser, but I also have Ryuga from GARO coming to and I definitely need that a lot. I hope some of my figuarts I'm selling sell because then I could have some money or I get this job I have an interview for later today.

I found they were lenient the first few times it happened when it came to preorders because it was a shock for them as well. If you cancel now I understand if they treat it like you're cancelling for no good reason. The pattern is set and even though they're not doing it in the best way, they are informing customers of all the changes and deadlines and it's something you can easily check anyway before you order as the deadlines for exclusives are on the official pages as well.

Sure it's not convenient for us to go check on the deadlines ourselves but when it concerns the money being spent here, it's wise to do your research before pre ordering.
