Oh great, a Renewal of a secondary rider BEFORE Kiva!!!! Yep, it's true, Bandai hates Kiva. Couldn't they at least do a secondary rider that hasn't been done yet like Ibuki?
|
LOL I knew buying Diend finally would lead to a Diend Renewal showing up. At least I got the original for a decent price compared to what it usually goes for.
I can't remember from last year - should we expect the show exclusives to start showing up on Mandarake as early as tonight, or not until the show's actually over? |
I knew Diend would get a new figuart sooner or later. Gold Drive looks fantastic and I look forward on pre-ordering him.
|
Yay, just paid for a Proto-Drive on Mandarake! Now to wait for a Dark Flame Effect to pop up again (looks like I missed one already).
EDIT: Also, NY's starting to send out payment requests for February stuff. I just got mine for Orga, they want it by the 9th. |
Got my cherry energy in...he has two left feet.
That's a first for me in figuarts. I have gotten two of the same replacement hands before but never two of the same feet lol |
Anyone got their Rider 3 figuart from Ami Ami yet because mine is still not here yet?

Ami Ami shipped out my item late despite me paying for once I got a e-mail payment for it.

Anyone who has the chaser set find the wings to be impossible to keep on the figure?
They are way to heavy for that little connection...mine just fall off over and over again. I have even futured the peg giving it more grip. It's not the friction of the peg that seems to be the issue, it's just the wings being so dang heavy I ended up throwing them back in the package out of sheer annoyance |
Looking forward to Overlord Baron! And maybe Dragon Fruit Duke.
Are all the Drive variants/power-ups just a mix-and-match of all the other ones because Chaser Mach looks really weird with the white and grey parts. lol. Bandai is revealing all these new SHF and SIC figures but still no Sentai. That's a shame. |

At least we know Lord Baron is coming now that it has a release date which I very happy about.

I got Rider 3 in the mail today and I'm very happy with my figure. He looks great and I have no QC issues on mine. I still haven't seen his movie yet, but I'm glad that I bought him.

got AmiAmi and N-Y shipments today, some quick thoughts
SHF Kamen Rider 3: I like the source design. It's retro and very "Showa" to me, but i like the colors and little touches, like the broken chains on his wrists and ankles, and the thrusters on his hips. The SHF is faithful to all of these details, and adds effects parts for the Rider Kick and thrusters. No visible paint issues or joint looseness. Just an all-around solid release. SHF Tune Chaser set: Lots of stuff in this package, so it has play value. As observed by others when this was first announced, it is NOT screen accurate, but I'm ok with that. There is one transformable piece that converts from Tail Whipper to Fang Spidey with some minor parts forming, plus a neat effects part for an energy beam. The wings have a huge wingspan. It's very backheavy, but does come with a Tamashii stage and special attachments. Makes for a pretty cool display. Pricey but I dig it, and Drive SHF's are all high quality SHF War Machine V2 Flat-black and silver repaint of Iron Patriot, so not much to say. As with all the SHF Iron Man releases, this has lots of heft, clean sculpt, a shitload of effects parts and plenty of hands. My biggest beef is that its difficult to get it to stay on a Tamashii stage since it's so heavy, and it's also thick at the waist. A custom attachment would help immensely on all releases in this subline (frankly, with all Avengers releases except Cap) SHF Cherry Energy Sigurd This bastard from Gaim was much anticipated and the sculpt does not disappoint. There have been lots of Gaim releases, and this version of the SHF body is exceptional. The main difference here is that there are added detail parts on the forearms and lower legs to replicate the, i guess wolf skin? or whatever coverings that Sigurd had. They capture the texture pretty well, but the forearm pieces DO restrict wrist movement. They do not appear removable. I really wish it came with a hat. Otherwise, another good Gaim release (there have been no bad ones; the only complaints are that maybe you want more accessories and more releases!) SHF Horse Orphnoch I know little about Faiz, but this design impressed me. In-hand, the paint and finish are amazing; it looks and sorta feels like primer, WITH some neat weathering type effect to it. Only two accessories (sword and shield) and and six total hands but having not watched the show i don't know what else would make sense. standard good articulation for SHF. I like having bad guy SHF's so you can actually get a fight scene out of them |

Don't know if Golden Frieza grows in size or anything but Final Form Frieza was always that short. |

But yeah, some dry brushed detail would've been nice, but I like the clean look too. |

Anyway, we're moving off-topic here folks. If you want to keep talking DBZ scale, please feel free to continue in the non-toku thread. |

So I wonder how many Shinkochu Seihou figuarts we will get next year? We are getting Decade, so I wonder if there will be room for more then just two.
|

Decade Ultimate Kuuga Daguva Diend Gattack Quite a bit more than two. |
I'm not really holding my breathe that we'll get five next year, but more than two would definitely be nice. I think Decade hitting earlier than Kuuga and Kabuto did is a good sign.
|
I'm vaguely curious what they'll do with the branding. Shinkochu Seihou already seemed sort of odd as a sub-line, or even when it was reserved for main Riders. Now that we're getting secondary Riders and whatever Kuuga's enemy is, I wonder whether what's going to get designated a Figuart, and what's going to be designated SS. The white-Kuuga-villain-guy looks similarly-engineered at first glance. The standard Figuarts have already moved to smaller, slimmer boxes, although not full-on iPhone cases.
Anyway, it's kinda academic. (Or not, if released tagged Shinkochu Seihou continue to carry heftier price tags.) |
I just wish the SS line would start dipping into exclusives offered for easy redecos or secondary/minor riders from existing or pending SS bodies. I don't need each release to be "special," I just want them to exist, so if Hibiki Kurenai or some random Kabuto rider or Kuuga form gets served up as a web exclusive, that's fine with me.
Anyways...has anyone else been able to snag any of the TN15 exclusives yet? |
Daguva will probably be a web exclusive since rider monster villains are usually are. I wonder if any of the Agito figuarts will get the SS treatment? Burning and Shining Agito are still very recent, so I doubt they will get renewal anytime soon. I would like to see Shinkochu Seihou figuarts of G3, Another Agito and Gills.

Personally, I think they should’ve sticked with main Riders for now. I really dig Daguva, Ultimate Kuuga & Gatack, but there are still main Riders how need this first. Double needs the update really badly and Kiva needs to be done.
I mean most of those are retools so they can reuse some parts but most of these guys have like 80-90% new tooling. |
I don't have G3, but I think he is a pretty old figure now. It won't surprise me if they renewal him sooner or later.
|
I would say Flame, Storm or Trinity form Agitos need a new version more than G3-X (and I assume G3, G3-X, and G4 are pretty much the same).
|
So is Proto Drive an exclusive?I kinda want it...

Heck Gills and Another Agito still hold up well too.
