Is the Pokemon fandom making as much of a fuss about the desire for Gen 4 Remakes as the Gen 3 remakes?

Sort of. The new movie at least hints at it with Ash's companions having Sinnoh Pokemon. Remember when the Arceus movie featured Pichu and the Johto Starters too?

We had G1 remakes on the GBA, Gen 2 remakes on the DS and Gen 3 remakes on the 3DS. So maybe Gen 4 remakes on the next system after the 3DS.

I feel like we'll hear about it sometime in the near future.

May is usually when remakes and 3rd versions/sequels are announced. We could possibly hear as early as next month if we're getting another game this year.

I would also like to know when we here in the US will get the Ash-Pikachu + Z-Crystal and Shiny Tapu Koko distributions.

Were never getting the shiny Tapu's.

Koko is beginning to spread out to other countries, we could end up getting it.

The only event the US has coming up right now is a pointless Lycanroc Midnight Form event at Gamestop in May. There's nothing special about it except that is in a Cherish Ball.

I find it amusing that people want G4 remakes so bad when G1 is more due for a remake looking at it chronologically. Alola even had all this implied Kanto stuff in it! I'm not really interested in either myself, but I'm hoping there will be some kind of G7 spinoff announcement soon.

They already blew their chances for another pointless Gen 1 remake. They gave us the original games on VC instead.

Gen 7 having nods to Kanto is nothing new, Kalos did the same thing.

Not to mention Piplup is everywhere right now.

Meh there's a lot of things it could be so not going to get hopes up for any one in particular. But a new main game (3DS or Switch) would be nice... Get me back into playing since I haven't touched Sun in forever.

so, today's Direct had THREE reveals:


*Pokken Tournament port for the Switch. Decent enough game, more folks should try it.

*Gold & Silver coming to Virtual Console. definite plus for some although I hated that generation.

*"Ultra Sun" and "Ultra Moon." Ok, definitely need to see more there...

Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon not being on the Switch is a travesty. Game Freak should at least make it cross gen with online play between the two like Monster Hunter.

The Japanese game industry has been running away from HD game development since the 360/PS3's release, with the last major holdouts being Monster Hunter and Pokemon. And since MHXX is now on the Switch, Pokemon is the only big series not to have jumped into HD.

I am tired of playing this games on the 3DS' awful and ugly looking 240p screen after having played the PS Vita and the Switch.
