Never Ending Odyssey was more engaging than the first season and kept me entertained till the end.

Well, it's good that they were able to save the Demaaga family...but now SKaRD is more wary of Ultraman and even Gento isn't sure what's going on between him and Blazar. The relationship between the two is definitely not in the best place right now.
Gento should be glad Anri didn't overhear his question or she'd be the first to put two and two together that he might be Blazar. Or just even more of a weird captain. Space-Electromanget Kaiju Gebalga! Not only just a meteor Kaiju, but also kind of a killer starfish! Kind of reminds me of Pestar in that respect. They really did a great job with that suit and how much it's able to push into itself for it's meteor form. Ah, so the guns on Earth Garon's back detach for action scenes. That's pretty smart (and convenient for the suit). It was smart to try to avoid the EMP, and I get they were just trying to move as fast as they can...but maybe flying off was not the best idea. Oh look, it's Blazar's sword that he's not even going to get until the next episode! So did Blazar get Anri and Earth Garon out before he fought Gebalga or...? Did Blazar internalize Gento's earlier order to flee after realizing that, if the Spiral Burrade couldn't get through Gebalga's electromanget shield, nothing else they threw at him would do any good? Hence the need to flee? Although that's got to be one of the more comical Ultra Fly Offs I've ever seen, especially because Blazar had to drag himself off. Well, this probably isn't going to endear Retsu to Ultraman much. Particularly so when Gebalga is inducing a mass EMP field. How is Blazar going to get through and defeat Gebalga? It's almost like he'd need some kind of sword...one that could cut through lightning. |
It's quite interesting how they're going along with Ultraman Blazar and Gento struggling as a whole.
Gebalga is certainly an interesting Kaiju in its design, intelligence, and uncanny nature, almost reminds me of Grieza. I do enjoy how the GGF is having more of a presence lately, which is something we probably were expecting to happen eventually, along with questioning Ultraman Blazar. Not too much to say, but I'm still enjoying the show very much. And while I know the Sword revealed earlier, it's kind of funny how we got its ad in part one (which I know is because they advertise them in advance, but I still find it amusing). Next Episode: Rule number 12 (I'm positive I got the number wrong): A hero's only as good as his weapon! |
Mega Monster Battle: Ultra Galaxy Legends: The Movie was mixed. This feels like when Tokusatsu leans too much in emulating trendy anime tropes and it comes a bit on the generic side of storytelling and Zero feels like an "OC don't steal" fan-created character. It also felt a bit unfair he overshadowed Rei in battling what was essentially another monster tamer.
Also if Ultraman Leo didn't paint Seven as a terrible trainer already then this movie would paint him as a terrible father as well for not teaching his son to not be tempted by the Plasma Spark or the fact that he didn't tell Zero he was his father this entire time? |

Revenge of Belial was okay. Killer the Beatstar wasn't even a Zero story.
