I've said it before in other threads, but Power Rangers characters will not happen. I also think it's incredibly misleading that Bluefin continue to run these polls with no context. They have no connection to BoJ and do not have any control over what figures are made, they're a distributor, nothing more. This is no different from Toys R Us running a poll on their website, asking what Lego themes you want to see next. They can pass the results over to the creators and if there is enough demand, it might influence the decision, but there's no actual control or guarantee.

Even if say, Time Force, wins by thousands of votes, that doesn't mean Bandai will care, if they don't think they'll sell in Japan.

I'm sure the Power Rangers anniversary does have something to do with the Zyuranger figures coming soon. But they're still Zyuranger Figuarts and there's literally zero possibility of Lord Zedd or the Titanium Ranger or anything along those lines.

But it has been shown time and time again that Bluefin, while not the manufacturing of figuarts, have influence in the production of figuarts. D-arts Vile and the entire DBZ figuarts line after the first 3 molds have all been created because of Bluefin Tamashii. Bandai of Japan has the final say, yes, but that does not mean power ranger characters are 100% flat out impossible. The DBZ figuarts aren't that popular in Japan, but they are still Tamashii Web Exclusives in Japan, even though the majority of sales for them are made over here. Characters like Lord Zedd or the Titanium Ranger, while not garunteed, are not impossible to happen if bluefin pushes bandai of japan enough to show them there is a market for it

I will point out an example, at then moment, Mega Man X seems to be getting more love from the USA than Japan. Yet we are STILL getting D arts Mega Man X figures. Ditto for Dragon Ball Z. Maybe DBZ Kai is getting some renewed love in Japan, I don't know, but DBZ is not the worldwide anime sensation it used to be, that ship sailed many years ago and surpassing it in the US has been any number of anime series from Guren Lagann to others.

Bluefin would not be wasting their time at all with these polls if nothing is to come of it. They do have a connection to Bandai Japan as they are acting as their middleman in the US, meanwhile Bandai America goes its own direction with mass market as their target market. Bluefin targets us collectors. Bluefin is doing what the Toynami x Tamashii partnership was doing until that deal folded, and actually, Bluefin is doing a lot more than that partnership ever did. These guys also distribute many Gundam plamo in the US to hobby shops, comic shops and specialty stores, something that Bandai America gave up on in the early 2000's.

Your comparison with TRU is different. TRU is a retailer. Bluefin is a distributor run by fans.

Also it is not unlikely, especially now, for Tamashii Japan to make TWE's with unique tooling. This has become a trend for them. Look what happened to the Armor Plus line, a number of Robot Damashii figures and Figuarts. They are not beyond using tooling for only 1 production run.

So figures like Lord Zedd are a possibility.

Using examples of DBZ and other franchises makes little sense. They have a bigger market in the US than they do for Japan, hence why the US takes priority. They can make a lot of money from them here and still sell them as exclusives for those who want them in Japan. That's absolutely not the case with Sentai/Power Rangers, since nobody in Japan is going to know who these characters are. It's awesome that they're putting in so much effort for such a small fanbase, but it is a very small fanbase here, not big enough to create a line of figures solely aimed at us.

I'm not claiming Bluefin have no influence, if there's enough demand for a particular series from us, I'm sure Tamashii will take notice. But like I said, it's no different than if Toys r Us were running the poll, they can give suggestions based on our feedback, but they're not the ones actually making the figures.

You underestimate the size of the Power Ranger Fanbase. A Lord Zedd would sell gangbusters here in america. The DBZ figuarts are now made solely for the US market, even though BoJ still offers them to Japanese fans as TWE. Its not garunteed that a Lord Zedd or Titanium Ranger would get made, but it has a larger possibility for happening than you are saying

I'm sorry, but we are talking about fucking Power Rangers, right? The franchise that has been CONSISTENTLY popular since their introduction and has ALWAYS been mentioned in the same breath as Transformers and GI Joe when it comes to franchises for boys?

Dragon Ball Z and Megaman have NOTHING on Power Rangers when it comes to popularity, and yet you're saying that they can get lines that are basically kept alive by American collectors, but fucking POWER RANGERS can't?

Explain this to me, because it is doing my fucking head in.
