That's when he realized that kids do associate with the suits, but associate with colors more, and so changing to a new theme every season would still help kids know the franchise, but continue to keep it fresh.

Kids also love Spies too. There's Spy Toys all over the toy aisle at your local Walmart, Totally Spies was a cartoon that pandered to girls as well as boys, and even back to the days of James Bond Jr. You mix that with animals that turn into cars and it's going to be a win. I won't deny that boys love dinosaurs more but it's still Power Rangers, and Saban knows that the kids will identify with that first and pick up with whatever theme goes along with it. And as always: ROBOT TOYS THAT COMBINE WITH OTHER ROBOT TOYS!

Now onto my thoughts on this. I keep saying this, but I feel it's always worth repeating. We've grown up. Our tastes and maturity levels have changed. I absolutely love the Centurions franchise, both now and as a child, but recently I went back to watch all the episodes and wow, it's super cheesy! I couldn't even get through all the episodes. I was bored!

Food for thought here. We've grown up. We can't expect a franchise aimed at kids to join us, and leave the children behind, that would be suicide.

While I appreciate you keeping a cool head among all the people freaking out...but I can't help but disagree with nearly everything you say. I mean who says it has to leave children behind?

It IS possible to cater to both. It's been done before.

This. When Saban reaquired the liscense, would new contracts not need to be made with Toei? and technically they have skipped 1 1/2 series( Yes they used elements like the zord battles) In Dai rangers and Kaku.

And the Disney era 32 episode system CAN be done without to much error. Jungle Fury and RPM handled the limitations really well IMO, allowing Nickelodeon to keep their smaller seasons while still having a well paced one year story.

Of course it has. But again, when that happened, it was years ago. I still stand by the fact that we've grown up since then.

I'm not saying some seasons didn't delivered better than others, that's a given. But, look at the "formula" we have now: Almost same exact theme song, almost same exact morph command, same season labeling (Super). It worked for Samurai, and Saban knows that, and chances are that it'll be the dynamic going forward.

Regardless, it won't kill Power Rangers. It may alienate the older fanbase, but we're the extreme minority here.

It depends. If the original contract stated something like "As long as Saban Entertainment/Brands etc. holds the rights to the name Power Rangers, then blah blah blah is required."

Also, I read that a certain amount of footage was required to be used to be considered an "adapatation." Zord and Megazord battles should cover the 10 or 15% that I believe it's supposed to be.

Other shows that run currently, manage to pull it off, so...

I know sticking with their current formula won't ruin PR financiallu any tie soon. Though honestly, I don't see how getting ambitous and shaking things up a bit would affect it either. I mean, kids would still get their superheroes and mecha beating the stuffing out of monsters, right?

Honestly as disappointed as I am with the possibility of Erin and Rhett not coming back, I'm sprt of hoping they have some sort of production problems. Not for any malicious reason, but whenever they have some production problems, that's when they tend to shake things up.

ok i was thinking yes RPM was good Dark end every thing but i just realised it might end up being 3 to 4 years till we get a season by saban brands that ant MMPR like. cause remember it took 3 season to get zeo one ok to some the worst to most called turbo then in space then from there we gotten good season so remeber it might take a while for use to get the season like we want to happen that good to both fans and kids.

so basically you're saying saban needs the momentum to get some good seasons later?
