But I actually don't think Samurai was worse then Megaforce. It was lazy and had terrible acting, but it at least had a story it was telling and some substance to the episodes and the characters had actual personality traits beyond just being stereotypes. You finish an episode and you feel like you finished an episode, if that makes sense? With Megaforce, everything in between Goseiger footage is just a rushed blur that is immediately forgettable. The "stories" are about 5 minutes of the episode max and get barely any time to develop whatsoever, with the last two minutes (like, literally as the credits are rolling) being a really quick conclusion to what little actual plot the episode had. Look at the "bullying" story of that one Troy feature episode for example. There were literally two scenes with the bullies; one where Troy stopped the bullying and one where they suddenly were nice and there was no in between. |

I enjoy Megaforce over (Super) Samurai because the actors have enough charisma to win me over in their performances (yes, even Troy). There's also the sense of fun I feel from watching the show. It's not for everyone, but I do enjoy it for what it is.

From the way characters speak, and the assumed time skips between the non-action stuff, stuff is happening between the fighting but for whatever reason we never see any of it. Leaving the whole thing to be this nauseatingly rushed mess that gives you absolutely no reason at all to care about anything. I guess at least the two female Rangers are babes, especially Christina Masterston. Thank you Megaforce, for pointing me in the direction of her modelling career. |
