So considering the giant tree in Kagura's drawing, is their home town Zawame city? I mean they've never done this crossover thing before like this right in the core show have they? So I'm guessing maybe the connections between the two shows is more than they are just airing at the same time.

Even if that isn't the case this was loads of fun, I'm not huge on goofiness, but Gaim has become a very heavy serious so to see it get the chance to chuck logic to the wind and just have some fun, was a really refreshing break.

Although I was a little disappointed that the action felt like it leapt out of a Gaim episode, and not a ToQ episode, which is disappointing as ToQ has much higher production values. Kamen Rider fifteen was pretty awesome though.

Wow I never noticed Mai's legs, someone get this poor girl a sandwich. I've never seen someone where their legs are the same width all the way down. I'm surprised she's even able to dance and jump around. I guess DAT THIGH GAP is the reason for her weird love triangle. Jokes aside, Mai is almost as much as an awful character as Wagon is, so awkwardly drawing focus on a love triangle which has never been important in the show only further highlighted what an awful character she is. She's the reason I'm voting great and not "excellent."

I guess at least Mitchy's dick routine was toned down for this, and we got to laugh at this terrible dress sense, he looks like his Mum dressed him.

I took it more as a little joke. We already know that their Hometown was taken over by the Shadow Line.

Yeah but we don't actually know what that really means though, do we? Since we have very little of ToQ's answers yet I can't give you a convincing argument for how Shadow Line and Ygaddarasil connect but it just seemed odd that they opened the show with a drawing of giant tree just like in the Mai flashback, they kept constantly bringing the drawing back into focus and finally we cut from the drawing to a shot of Mai and Kouta walking into the distance where the Tower is, where the tree used to be.

It's probably nothing, but it just seemed a weird coincidence and the focus was pretty heavy on what amounted to a shit drawing.

It was probably nothing. I give you that they really focused hard on that drawing but to me it came off more like the wrtiter trying to force that connection into the crossover of both citys having some kind of tree.

Which is exactly why I wondered if the two cities were one and the same. I'm perfectly expecting to be wrong, but it was just odd for me that they kept bring it up OVER AND OVER AND OVER.

I just thought it connected to Kagura's child-like innocence and how she is clinging on to it despite participating in what is essentially a war. Or maybe I'm over thinking it.

All of these things make sense, but if it is something completely pointless - which it probably is - it just seemed odd that it was what we opened on, closed on and was still brought up multiple times during the episode. If it is pointless, why wouldn't the special shut up about it?
