Like I said: feels like the writers forgot he had the thing on. |

Which reminds me, why didn't Kouta just use that against the Scalar Weapons? |

Plus Fifteen is gonna use Wizard arms. |
This was...impressively boring. I dunno whether things are tight over there at Toei but wow this looked really bad. Especially in Wizard's case his action looked worse than what was found in the respective TV series. Gaim's portion was certainly better - "that is as much as I'll humour that." - but the onslaught of explosions that carried right through into the crossover portion, without a single moment of story to break it up burnt me out fast. By the end I was actually nodding off, I don't think a film has ever sent me to sleep before under normal circumstances.
Wizard's portion still deserves a nod for being an emotional epilogue to the series, it doesn't really add anything to the mess of an ending but it does give some nice closure for the cast, which for us three fans of Wizard was really nice. Perhaps the biggest frustration for the movie with me though is all the wasted potential. The Feuding States Battle Royal concept sounds like one of the many delicious ideas dreamed up by the Decade production team. But just like Decade, rather than exploring the concept in any meaningful way, we just establish the premise and then fill the rest of the screentime with explosions. It's especially disappointing, as the returning characters giving fun nods to their series seemed to care more about the franchise than the actual production team. Bleh. |
I enjoyed it, but can't really commend it for being anything more than average. Wizard's portion was a pretty fitting finale to the show and served to show that Haruto isn't as emotionless as some of his critics like to think, but in retrospect wasn't an entirely necessary finale (other than seeing Haruto let Koyomi go of sorts) and Nitoh becoming Beast again just raised further questions.
Meanwhile the Gaim part was fun, but mostly just felt like fluff. The Bujin Rider concept was interesting, although I REALLY wish they'd stop getting terrible sounding VAs to do Fourze. Bujin Gaim is a lot cooler than I expected him to be as well - kinda wish I'd ordered the Arms Change figure now to go alongside my Legendary Riders. Finally the crossover portion (if there was one, they didn't really noticeably split it like they usually do) was pretty underwhelming. Bujin Gaim tree form looked stupid as hell, the Legendary Rider Arms were awesome but could have been showcased more (especially Wizard Arms) and Gold Infinity Dragon was just there for the hell of it. I liked it more than Ultimatum (and War Core of course), but it's nowhere near Megamax levels for me. To be honest I'd probably rank 2010 above it as well. |
I was happy to see the Gaim's half of the movie, more than the Wizard's half. I was happy to see the old good Micchy. :lol
I also loved some of the humor of this movie. Overall, I liked the movie. But it wasn't one of my favorites. |
Wow, I just noticed the Accel part in Gaim's half of the movie, where the sign Accel was holding said "Don't Question Me!"
Love the part! :D |
It was an okay movie and even though I have yet to finish Wizard, it's part of the film was more interesting than Gaim's part to me honestly.
> Now while I haven't finished Wizard, it's part felt good, even if it spoiled parts of it for me, it also made me want to watch the rest of Wizard. - Gaim's part felt good at first with seeing old Micchy and Hase, and just seeing them be beat riders again before Micchy went crazy. - Then there was the Sengoku States stuff. It felt pretty boring, with the older riders fighting each other. Ohh and Fourzes voice, man why!? Then seeing barely any Hibiki or Kabuto fighting was disappointing, but I understand. Then the dude lord, general guy. He was annoying and I wish BUJIN Gaim actually had a character, rather than be a suit walking. - The ending for me felt all over the place and Wizard arms should of had more action against Bujin Gaim, or fight with Wizard. - Overall? 3/5 It's an okay movie with and okay concept but the execution was sort of bad, and several times I felt like falling asleep. |
Wizards half- Meh. Ive never cared for Wizard and this didnt do much else. Seeing Nitou again was probably my favorite part, which isnt saying much.
Gaims half- Its Gaim, I loved it! Seeing Micchy not be a little shit, it was great. Though why Takatora didnt really notice him was weird. Not gonna question much of it. Crossover part- Pretty good, but showed me that I really need to grab the Rider Lockseeds :lol |
