2. The Garo anime isn't really Toku, it is anime. :lol

Funimation does an amazing job with their dubs these days. I might not like every voice they get (I think their Armin voice for AoT sucks, but I think their Mikasa voice is better), but their dubs are pretty solid.

BTW, having the streaming rights doesn't mean they will have the rights to bring it out on video.

I've heard people call funimation terrible and the devil...why? Or do you understand their reasoning?

The stupid people on TVN's FB page. I decide to visit TVN's page to see what people have to say about the news. The stupidity makes me glad that I don't follow TVN.

More like Aniplex their anime prices are outrageous on top of that they don't dub all or most of their license animes like Funimation, and when they do the blu-ray sets are just a bit more expensive compared to a sub U.S Blu-ray release. The only dub shows I liked from them are Madoka Magica and Fate Zero, and that's like 2/5 dubbed animes they did so far.


Funimation their dub quality varies from low and high I think a lot of people can agree, for a most recent anime Pyscho Pass in my opinion has amazing dubs. Their Blu-Ray sets are also far more reasonable and while most time they don't have amazing goodies like Aniplex blu-ray sets, but they at least cater to everyone on most of their license animes, Single DVD release, Single Blu-Ray Release, DVD + Blu-Ray, or Blu-ray + DVD Limited/Collectors Edition.

Actually, the Kill La Kill dub is way better than the Japanese version, but I'm not willing to buy the series at Japanese prices. If I want to buy at Japanese prices, I'll buy from Japan.

Opinions to each their own, but I agree with your last statement.

I couldn't stand to watch more than two episodes of Kill La Kill in Japanese. WIth the dub, I saw the first two episodes and I wouldn't mind seeing a few more.

I'll definitely say Funimation is a great dubbing company. They took Toradora's generic, stereotypical Japanese dialogue that most kids that age wouldn't say here in America & made them sound like actual people living here as teenagers. Hopefully fans of the Garo anime can get the same quality.
