I thought I had posted this, but I guess not as I can't seem to find my previous post, but anyway, I was wondering, if I plan on painting Minipla kits, is it best to paint after or prior to assembly? Also, what would be good websites to track down the Hong Kong versions?

Based on prior experience, it's best to paint the parts before assembly. Also, caveat emptor on the Hong Kong reissues, as the molds are borderline bootleg in quality. I own the 2007 reissue of Dekaranger Robo, and the clip that holds the right rotor of PatGyrer snapped off during assembly. I had to tie dental floss around the clip to hold it in place. Also, the stickers are poorly printed and cut. Just a fair warning; unless you're an experienced modeler, don't bother with the Hong Kong reissues.

I wonder why they are like that? Their DX releases are pretty much perfect.

Makes me wish the standard version had come with foil stickers though, they look so much nicer.

Do you have any of the auxiliary mecha? I really wanna see how he'd look with some solid add on parts inside of him.
