This might sound like a weird thing to ponder, and it should be stressed that at this point he's been arrested but not found guilty of anything, but if he was found guilty, might this have an impact on possible future reruns of Wild Force or Samurai?

I say this from the perspective of an ex wrestling fan who went through the Chris Benoit murder-suicides and saw him be erased from history.

This news is shocking to say the least, and I wasn't a Wild Force fan by any stretch.

Hard to say.

Obviously, this is a massive public relations blow to Power Rangers as a franchise. Not a single Power Ranger actor will be able to do anything without being asked about the one Power Ranger who killed someone (regardless if it was murder or manslaughter).

At best, it leaves a taint of "Forever Red features the entire cast of Red Power Rangers, including the one who killed his roommate....". And at worst it leaves Saban Brands with a tough choice on whether or not to have Wild Force and Samurai be promoted in any way, shape, or form ever again (for the time being at least).

Regardless of whenever it was accidental or not Ricardo's going to have to live with this the rest of his life.

Both families must be suffering with this news and it breaks my heart knowing that this tragedy happened. I have no other words other than this issue be resolved fairly and steps will be taken in ensure events like this happen less frequently.

It's just horrifying to read about.

I haven't watched Wild Force or Samurai in their entirety, but when I get around to watching them, it's going to feel pretty awkward. Nonetheless, this is horrible news.

I don't think Saban is as likely gonna pull Samurai, since Medina has such a less important role then a lot of other characters. But him being a main character in Wild Force is really gonna make that tough for Wild force.

This is really depressing... I mean Wild force is my favorite season. :(

The timing is really rough, too, since this story is going to be all over the place right as Dino Charge is about to start airing. Nickelodeon is going to want to promote the heck out of the show (what with it not being Legend of Korra and all), but any internet search for "Power Rangers" is going to bring this up front and center.

That part is rather unlikely. Isn't Power Rangers one of the largest (If not the largest) boy brands out there? I think it's a little too big for a news report about an actor who hasn't been in the franchise for over a decade to be that high up on search results.

While the actor and Power Ranger angle will be milked by reporters and news sites, I don't think this will be the top story for many sites, to be honest.

Not a joke. But lets face it people, this is bad timing. We just have to deal with it as it happens. We will do as the Rangers of the past have done. Face this challenge head on and persevere.
