I was thinking more that the actor is probably under contract to appear in the movie.

I was taking a detailed look at the fusion form and all it is really is Mach's helmet, chest armor, and upper arms on Chaser.

Oh, no doubt. He'll be back one way or another.

And my guess is it'll be as an Ultimate Evolution. Can Chase really be the only important Roimude without one? I guess he is a prototype, and his core did explode. But... didn't it do that in episode 22, and he turned out to be fine? I'm not convinced his in-series story is over.

Not only that, in episode 35 Brain told Chase he still has a "purpose to fulfill" without ever explaining what that was. Did that ever amount to anything? I can't remember, but I don't think so. I have a feeling Chase still has a role left to play in all this.

It's okay to have an opinion. What did you feel were the issues? Other than the glaring plot hole of Shinnosuke's old partner showing up to save the day, technically speaking.

Right up there with the whole "Type Dead Heat making use of the Dead Zone" statement, and why slowdown is even a necessary thing if Banno can just turn everyone into data.

There's also the mini-plot holes (which can be rationalized as "the characters are dumb" but still) of Gou forgetting Mad Doctor is a thing and Drive and the Roidmudes just leaving the two weakest(?) fighters to take on Banno, who has previously basically wiped the floor with all of them.

Also, when Banno is swinging the axe, he's standing so far away from Gou that even if he hadn't been interrupted by Chase he would have barely hit his son. I mean, I know, I know. Chase had to have enough space to get in there. But it's still kinda silly. Just nitpicking though.


That's just me though, can't speak for Johnk
