Well let's see... Zyuranger, or rather, MMPR is huge in the US, and doing "okay" in the US is about the equivalent of doing great in Japan, so by making a fairly iconic Robo into a high-end collector's item that can easily be marketed on both sides of the Pacific to both Sentai AND Power Rangers fans with minimal changes, you're more than doubling the chances of success, and thus profit. We should have gotten the 1995 power rangers movie figuarts insaid that would have been a better release.

After this I have no more trust in Bluefin ever again they don't care about Sentai Figuarts anymore. And I know the line is dead but still with the new movie coming out it would have made more sense for something figuarts related.

I don't see this selling very well not with that big price. This was a dumb toy to make to much money and it will not sell well that for sure.

First of all, do you even know what Soul of Chogokin even is? It's die cast, heavily detailed and, most intriguingly of all, HIGHLY ARTICULATED WHILE STILL BEING FULLY TRANSFORMABLE. Do you realize how awesome that is for a SENTAI ROBO? A series of giant robots who only have shoulder articulation AT MOST?

And for "not selling very well," Tali said it best:

This will sell, of course, not to everyone, but for the collectors and those with the idea of a "definitive" representation. For example, Figuarts V Legacy Figures. While both feature articulation and a closer scale to other figures, it's up to the collector to decide which item they would like to buy. In creating this SOC version, you introduce another option to the market.

Well we already have SRC daizyujin and after a few years the diecast get lose and chrome will chip so that's why it a waste.

And I know it mmpr is huge I just wish it was something else related to mmpr like the figuarts I mention before.

Yeah we see if this sell well my bet is it will sell very little because of the price period.

Uh yeah I do know what soc is a line for Japanese robots. I don't need you to tell me what it is.

I know this isnt for everyone but i myslef and many others have been wishing for this long before sentai figurearts was thing. You may not like, that dosnt automaticly make a bad move in of itself. Also everyone SHOULD play nice in this thread. We are all old enough here to act polite can we pleease keep that way.

First of all, Super Robot Chogokin DaiZyuJin is ONLY DaiZyuJin. The Soul of Chogokin DaiZyuJin will be the 5 Zords, all articulated and capable of combining into an articulated super robot. And comparing the two is like comparing Maketoys Guardia and this thing:

Secondly, Soul of Chogokin aren't designed like a $30 toy you get at Target that are for snot-nosed kids to play with as much as they are for adults who will stick it on a shelf and never touch it. These are NOT cheap kids toys. They are built to last as Dynamic Works of Japanese Super Robot Art. They are on par with professional sculptures that you'd see in a museum of modern art.

Well this is certainly a nice surprise. Kinda makes me glad I never jumped onto the Legacy Megazord bandwagon. This will definitely come with a hefty price tag, so hopefully it'll be available for a good while after it's release.

"we already have too many megazords" is just . . . man, this takes the cake. I thought we'd get some idiot asking if this transforms or not, but saying this is a a waste and won't sell is. . . a new level. Congrats.
