Having been born in the 50's, she was just a lot more accustomed to the silver age stuff and the wackier, toned down Batman. She also loved the Adam West series. So for her, Burton's Batman was as much of a tonal shift as Shin Kamen Rider was for, well...KR :lol Also, I think Superman 3 was the ruination of the Superman film series |
@Matrix: My mom was born in the 50s too, but likes Burton Batman the best. Weird.
As for worst movies I saw Tomb Raider: Cradle of Life: Only movie I remember walking away from. It was that bad. Ghostbusters 2016: So not how you do a reboot. Just....no to this mess. Avengers 1998: What was that plot? Nothing was explained very well and it was chaotic and loud. |

Are his movies good? Not by any normal measure, no. Are they singular, extremely weird and worth seeing? Absolutely on the former, not for most, no, for the latter. BUT, I guarantee you've never seen anything like them (my favorite is Summer of Massacre). I mean, I found Terror Toons literally on a pile of trash at the (long gone) video store I worked at. Let's put it this way - one Amazon reviewer was so disturbed by Terror Toons complete nonsense, this happened: http://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/640...mindcontro.png |
Can't believe I forgot to mention this but Gundam Wing Endless Waltz.
This movie makes Gundam Seed Destiny's writing look brilliant. |
The worst movies that I've ever seen are:
King Kong Lives The live action movie of Kite Alone in the Dark (Uwe Boll movie) Transformers 2 The 6th Man Batman & Robin Dracula 3D Weasels Rip My Flesh Dead Hooker in a Trunk Food Fight! The Time Machine (I Found at a Yardsale) |
