WARNING THIS WILL BE A BIG POST
There were good things in this episode but even the things I liked were not pulled off that great. For example the fight between heroic eyecons and the ganmerizers, was only a little bit enjoyable for me because only a few ganmerizers had actual suits. Really wish they all had suits to make it as epic as it should of been instead of using CG. The Adel becoming good scene I tried to enjoy it but something just felt off, also how did Takeru show that scene of Edith and Adel's father? Did he somehow take the memory from Edith who was in the other room? Also were the others able to see what Takeru and Adel were seeing? I ask because Alia came in knowing whats happening and added her memory to this. Why is the Ganma world sky red? Did they ever say why yet? Because they showed it was blue when they first came to it but its always been shown red and that final fight with possessed Adel the sky was blue. Was that suppose to be some poor attempt as symbolism or did they just forgot that the scene takes place in the Ganma world? The Igor scene I am not actually bothered by it because I am just glad that he is gone for now. Why did Kanon thought it was a good idea for her to come when she has no weapon or experience? At least with Akari and Onari (also is the ari part of their names a joke or coincidence?) they had weapons and Onari probably has experience in fighting from the very little background they gave to him that they decide to instead give to the glasses monk that I keep forgetting actually has a name. I think you and a lot of other people here would be surprised if you rewatched Ghost from the start. The big reason it failed to click with so many of you is how messy the writing was, so watching it knowing what you do would really help fill in the blanks. It's more coherent than it might seem. |

A) Despite all his shortcomings, the final villain I actually cared about just got Sadness Break'd by Takeru. B) I remember hearing about the Ex-Aid Crossover being a two part-er from episode 49-50. So I assumed this episode was supposed to be the finale. C) The magazines scans had Great Eyezer shown only fighting Ghost in Ore Form. And I thought that was because they we're gonna use it in the crossover. Edit* One last thing, I'd also like to point out because I just remembered. Shibuya was also important enough to get a full name, he's listed as: Shibuya Hachioji, while Narita is only listed as: Narita. |

Certainly things have gotten more complicated as they've gone on. The first eleven episodes were a fairly simple Dragonball plot but by the last third you have political intrigue with the Ganma, the Infinite Potentialâ„¢ stuff really comes to the fore, the subplots pile up... That really is Ghost's big problem. If I'm not mistaken this was Takuro Fukuda's first show as head writer. I wouldn't call Ghost poorly paced but its plotting is really... weird, I guess? Different? |
I'm definitely going to miss this show. Next week is the finale followed by a farewell crossover episode. If Makoto died I was going to be really heartbroken. Specter was my favorite rider from this show.

Episode was pretty good. Probably on the bad half of finales I've seen, but still some salvagable stuff. Alain's relationship with his family shone through, and Fake!Spectre and Real!Spectre getting united as a single person was really the only way they could wrap up the subplot without one of them dying... which they did anyway. For a show about Ghosts, they like showing people getting killed of, don't they? Especially Makoto.
Igor falling in love... Nah. that's just Onari making stuff up. He saved them because he was still shocked from Adelification and Akari using Double Slap (It's Super Effective!), and did something stupid. He's still alive somewhere though, so you can guarantee he'll be back. Maybe as the movie villain. Also, as someone who has watched the Rider Specials... Yeah, nothing ties the twin into the great eye. It made no sense. At least they adressed the costume re-use for Dark Ghost, but here... nope. We don't even know if Takeru and Makoto still have the rider eyecons. Pointless characters are there because they couldn't think of anyone else to be used. Why they couldn't just have the Ganmeizers form Eyezer is a mystery for the ages. Also, Kanon as Pink Necrom when? She was more successful than Alia, after all :p |
I think the show would be a lot better if you watched it in large chunks. Once I caught up and had to wait for new episodes every week, I didn't enjoy it nearly as much. But when I was in the process of catching up (I think the idol group episode was the first one to come out after I caught up) it was much more enjoyable.
