It is really nice they added that design on him and not just "Kabuto but black" Like with Ryuki and his evil clone.

To be fair, Ryuga did have a new visor that omitted the sculpted eyes. So technically he has more physical differences than Dark Kabuto, who's pattern is merely printed on.

I was pretty excited he got a new release, the original dark kabuto was my first figuart and one of my first import orders. The design always looked great and with the new mold it makes for a really good figure.

Like he even had a chance at being a bad figure, being the same figure as Kabuto

I like this figure. I haven't watched all of Kabuto yet. Actually i haven't watched that much of it yet, been meaning to. But I do like how this looks. The colors go together well.

Seems a tad early in the line to release a figure that's basically just a repaint of a previous one,I mean it does look good but you'd think they'd go with a different Rider and keep something like this on the back burner.

How is this early? S.S. Kabuto was released 2 years. Dark Kabuto & Gattack are only the 2nd and 3rd releases in the Kabuto line for Seihou, but it took 2 years for them to happen. Hibiki, Kuuga, Kuuga Ultimate, Kuuga Rising Mighty, Decade, & Agito all happened in the interim for the overall S.S. line. So no, Dark Kabuto isn't "early in the line" in either sense.

And repaints are always cost effective releases when and where they can be managed. This was a very easy toy show exclusive for bandai to crank out in limited numbers. The other two S.S. Kabuto line reveals that were at the show (the Hopper Bros) will likely be Web exclusives as the last couple Seihou figures have been. And each of them is simply a straight repaint of the other as well, should those be back burner'd when they're easy releases?

I just want to point out that Dark Kabuto now has two Figuarts while Kiva still has zero. :lol
