Also kinda surprised at the backlash here, even though I'm well aware female riders are kind of a controversial topic. I guess some people don't look at the catalog spoilers, but she seemed pretty well liked then and I don't see much difference in the design, aside from the brainwashed eyes.

I mean they could pull a Kiriko and switch the shoes to sneakers whenever she does something dangerous but I bet they don’t want to have too much of a hassle in post production with this one.

Especially since hand to hand combat is harder to do that way as opposed to a simple jump or something.

They used heels for Nadeshiko, Kiva-la, Femme, etc. which is why I assumed she'd have them. Not that I'm complaining mind you, heels can be a bitch to walk in, I speak from experience

I think the problem is that you kind of have to get technical about it. There's something that makes most of them feel like they don't count for one reason or another. I think what makes me a little grumpy is that many of the female Riders you list felt like they were just *teased*. Even though Necrom-P was in the main series and didn't use a male suit, she got to be a Rider for like thirty seconds.

Shuki just barely counts; she wasn't around for long, but she was in the actual series, she got something to do, and she had an original suit and concept. Marika absolutely counts. I suspect Poppy will count.

I... probably shouldn't discuss this topic. Tl;dr: I disapprove of how Kamen Rider has handled most female Riders; there've nevertheless been a couple of good ones; I'm pleased that Poppy won't have high heels.
