Me, I thought of Dio too (like half of the Kamen Rider watching internet), but the way Masamune walked in behind everyone at first felt like those old PS1 graphics when a creepy thing walked by or similarly up from behind someone.

But that isn't what he's doing. He's wrapping the cape around his fist like it's a boxing glove. Visually it looks like a kid in a play cape trying to emulate Knight's Final Vent.

I was playing FFIV on the DS the day my SO-DO Taddle Fantasy arrived (Been playing a bunch of FF games for the 30th anniversary) and instantly realized the helmets are fairly similar being Dark Knights and all.

I wonder if Emu felt Pallad's fear and sadness after the lost of his bugster comrade. I guess Pallad will switch side for the time being like Dan to help Emu achieve a stronger form to defeat Chronos. I wonder if the ultimate bugster is Chronos's bugster.

I believe the Taddle games are based off of Final Fantasy or at least Taddle fantasy is.

Well they're JRPGs in general. Taddle Quest is clearly Dragon Quest and Taddle Fantasy is clearly Final Fantasy in name, but aside from that, the Taddle designs are mostly a collection of tropes rather than anything specific like the rest of the Ex-Aid designs.

That said, I feel that TQ and TF do reflect DQ and FF whether intentional or not. TQ has a streamlined design like DQ while TF has an overly complex design like FF. I think that's just a happy coincidence though since one's a Level 2 and ones a Level 50.

Man...Ex-Aid is just something else...it's just on another level. Really dig the setting when Chronos makes his debut, all the grandeur and spectacle really emphasizes the importance of the character of Chronos and gives him the final big boss aura. Also just a fantastic episode all around, setting up the new arc. Just when you wonder when Ex-Aid will taper off it gets better every week. Every episode is a must see thus far. Can't say that for a lot of other shows.

The in-universe description given by Dan the Boy makes it sound very similar to Overlord but you aren't wrong
