It's someone casually walking to monster running her mouth and the Rangers do nothing to stop her. At least in Ninninger not only Kyuemon's enchantment is short and quick but he does it while hiding in the shadows and not right in front of everyone.

Same. Patran 1 is my red ranger this year. Lupin Red is cool but Keiichiro I think is cooler.

I'm hoping we get some background on the Patrangers and why they're determined to take down the Gangler as well, because now you're just on LupinRangers side and see Patranger as just a nuisance.

Lupat is still continuing the precedence it set last episode and I'm still totally on board with it. The pacing, the interactions, the action, the music, oh my goodness the music, I am so down for all of it. I will say that I'm not too big on how the mecha fight and the beginning chase scene were like 99% CGI. It always feels like something is lost when it isn't practical. Hopefully it's just a case of early episode syndrome and I can't lie that it wasn't exciting to watch, helped by the fact that the CGI seems like 10 times better than what we usually have.

While they are probably going to delve into the Patrangers backstories at some point, I actually like how simple they are right now compared to the Lupinrangers. The Lupinrangers are motivated by their own personal tragedies to do what they're doing whereas the Patrangers motivation is as simple it's their job. They're the police, it's what they do. It creates an interesting juxtaposition with the Lupinrangers which the show is doing a lot of already.

Ordinarily I'd be begrudging the heavy use of CG myself, but the thing is, the kinds of crazy dynamic camera movements all throughout those scenes would be extremely difficult to pull off if you were using models on a miniature set and a dude in a clunky robot suit. For once, I feel like they actually gained something from using computer effects.

I've gotta agree with Byg42 here. If anything, the scene where Kairi sees (a notably more calm than usual) Keiichirou promising that group of people they're going to take down the Gangler just reinforces how much this is all relative.

This show's been fairly light on plot so far, but it's very quickly done a great job building up the dynamic between the two teams, and much like Lupin Red choosing to shoot out that ceiling in the premiere, his decision to just leave after getting the piece of the Lupin Collection here says a lot more than it might look like at first.

I am having similar issues with this episode myself, but after hearing some of these thoughts it makes me want to rewatch the episode. It seems like there might be more to see here that at first glance. I do want to see more of the PatRangers though.

Another good episode. It was nice seeing what brought the Lupins together and what exactly the promise is. I am curious to know though that if they succeed, do the wish only revive one person per wisher, or would it bring back everybody lost by our whistling friend. The fight choreography was outstanding again, the chase between the Lupins and Pats especially was a treat. I do hope that within the next few episodes more of the Patrangers is explored in terms of character and story, as for the moment the Lupins are set up pretty well, whereas the Patrangers are just kinda there in terms of personality. But all's hoping. I do very much enjoy the different styles for the teams in terms of transformation. Lupin is slow and stylish with Pat being quick and efficient, in fact theirs kind of reminded me of Metal Hero esque henshins.

Another good episode and my enjoyment of the show continues.

I think living in the Sentai universe comes with a flatout contract that says you or your loved ones may die and that your child may or may not be kidnapped or brainwashed into being an evil minion/human shield.

I rather like the more simplistic approach to the Patorangers. They don't have to have epic backstories. They're police officers. They're doing what is right not for revenge or anything, but because they want to help those around them.

Granted, considering how Pat 1 is acting, I'm sure he'll have an in depth reason for why he's so hard on all crime, but still, right now, I'm fine with their more basic touch for now.
