If this show is more Kamen Rider Hibiki than Magiranger, then I'm all for it. (I have nothing against Magiranger!)

No, looking at the recent 00/10 onward sentai and rider are getting lighter with lightr tropes and twist and riders occasional have some darker twists like build, exaid, and somewhat drive, but majority series is lighter. Sentai will probably not going for hibiki or even gobuster vibe because both show tanked and even the gimmick of the year was also a factor to blame. I reckon it'll one of the shounen demon hunting or demon empower sentai with a light aspect to it.

Exactly what I am trying to convey. But instead of wands and stuff they apply it to technology melding the two contrasting concepts to fight evil and whatnot.

I think everything was a bad interpretation, we don't know if is a japanese culture-themed sentai.

A sentai team based on the Arabian nights would be a nice change of pace

Hmm...I think Magi Shine from Magiranger actually based on 1001 Nights folktale. The Five Core Magirangers are based on Medieval European wizards.

Funny that people get hung up about demons in children's shows here in the West yet how many demon based Digimon were in Digimon with no complaint? Instead everyone called Pokemon evil demons.

Anyways it would be interesting to see what Toei does with the 2020 Sentai. If they'll focus on ancient demon lore or if they'll focus on machines taking over the world a la Maximum Overdrive.
