I've been hoping to see some projects not involving the current Rider at all. Even though I didn't care for their individual series, I expect Ghost x Wizard would have some potential. Ghost always seems to be a more interesting Rider outside his series. (And is it just me, or does he usually have cooler abilities elsewhere? All the floating and glowing the main series couldn't afford.) Mostly - and I know this will never, ever happen - I'd love to see a Kamen Rider movie project not intended to sell any new toys or debut new forms. It would be wild to see them just... tell a story.
Saber... I wonder if Saber will turn out to be like Ghost, and I'll like the character more after his series ends? |

Amazons also didn't sell toys aside from one DX belt per season

Man, I just concluded my rewatch of Kamen Rider Ghost yesterday with Specter Rebirth, which happens to be the last live-action Ghost-related thing that Fukuda wrote and I think it's a great epilogue to the Ganma World plot.
I'm glad Nishime isn't getting too down about his show losing in those popularity polls and still coming back as Takeru for the few fans who do actually care about it. I think that sends a really inspiring message to people who feel like their work is underappreciated, that you can still keep doing it and taking pride in it anyway. Kanon and Jabel are back as well! That's so much more meaningful than what we got for the Ghost arc of Zi-O, which was just ticking another KR off the tribute list. But now we're actually getting a dedicated crossover between Ghost and Saber and I think Fukuda is the perfect person to write this, not just as Saber's head writer, but as someone who already understands the complex lore of Ghost and can make references to events that happened recently from side content and the novel (which is mostly that a lot of characters are married now but there was some other crazy stuff as well). Even if it's not very heavy on references, I'll probably still enjoy it. |
