It may be that or maybe because the usual people who animate these sorta things (I.E. Mecha animators, because Kamen Riders are technically mecha-lite) are getting too old now or there are too few trained in this department. Chalking it up to just money feels disingenuous, I feel.

Still, they do have animators from the Brave Series, and Symphogear, such as Yamane Masahiro and Kabashima Yousuke, so at the very least Double might get some 2D scenes.

I have to admit, toku anime is a hard sell for me. I love W and all but that trailer looks like the most generic anime I've ever seen, not something with the infectous energy of W. So color me wary I guess.

I'm glad they brought the Memory of Heroez actors back for this.

I think most people expected they'd get the MoH VA's, but I think they did a solid job capturing the characters in the game so I can live with that.

The only issue with the trailer, which looks like W in animated form, is no Kamen Rider W. I want to see what W looks like animated.

You're absolutely right. I just finished W about a week ago and I seriously loved it and with several months to spare. I even watched the summer movie, the crossovers they have with Decade and OOO, and a pair of V-Cinema films centering around Accel and Eternal. Definitely ready for the anime sequel. Now, count up your sins! :D

I can deal with the Hardboilder being CGI. The simple reality is that drawing vehicles, especially detailed ones, consistently and repeatedly is expensive and difficult. I don't like it, but I can understand it.

If W himself is CGI though I'm 100% not watching it. I barely survived the sometimes-CGI Whitesnake in JJBA, I don't think I could watch a whole show with a stiff, lifeless main character.

Super pumped for this! I haven't watched W since it was on air back in 2010-2011, but this gives me the perfect excuse to count up my sins once again. Definitely looking forward to August, now.

Yeah, I think people will probably be more open to the bike and other vehicles being CGI than they would the actual Riders and action sequences.

I'm excited but personally, I wish Renn Kiriyama and Misaki Suda reprised their roles, but I understand why.
