Yeah, everything started getting weird with the synchro tuners and the time travel stuff and Z-ONE making himself look like Yusei and going into the past an ugh, my brain hurts.

I still wish Season 0 would get a proper home video release. I still remember watching it RAW back in 2002. I saw it while watching the series on KidsWB!.

I seen all of Yu-Gi-Oh season 0, but I still like to have a home video physical version of it on DVD or Blu-Ray in Japan or in the US.

Yeah, i'm guessing because from the few episodes i have watched things pretty freaking dark in this series.

Yugioh started out as a manga. But it wan't always about card games. The stuff prior to the Pegasus arc had a mix of different games and was different from what came later.It also got an anime which was animated by a different company then the popular show we know now.

I don't think Season 0 has ever been rereleased, even in Japan, but maybe one day.

The original Yu-Gi-Oh didn't really focus on a card game. So there would be no merchandise to sell for it. It would have bombed if it came out in 1999 in the US. It was good that 4kids waited for Duel Monsters to come out first.

This I knew already. I just didn't know that there had been any animation releases of it.

It's really weird because they awknoledge it's existence, i mean that's why their celebrating the anniversary next year instead of whem DM started.

I think that's because that's when the manga first started. Granted, that's all stuff that was adapted into season 0 as the start point, but it's still Yugioh.

Honestly, I am glad it never got released. It is so terribly boring. The animation was also subpar and the music sucked. Not to mention they needlessly changed things from the stories of the manga for some reason.

It is a horribly animated season of the series based on the early days of the manga before Duelist Kingdom. Unfortunately, they just randomly chose manga chapters to adapt and did a poor job at it. They also added in a girl character for Honda to drool over who was nothing more than a background character in one story as a permanent friend. What 4Kids did to Duel Monsters in the US is what the Death-T arc was done in this Season 0 compared to its manga counterpart.

Season 0 can also be called toei yugioh anime due toei animated the first seven volume of the manga

That's cause the manga came out in 1996 so it make sense to.celebrate it next year due to it been 20 year heck viz media rereleased original manga as 3 in one volume sets.

I thought yugioh was never meant to have a card game and it only happened because of how popular the anime became? That's why the rules in the duelist kingdom arc made absolutely no sense

I kind of miss the days when of duelist kingdom when they pretty much just went batsh*t insane with the card games rules.

Even then, the card game was not as significant after Battle City since the memories arc had very little to do with the cards.

Nevertheless, it was the card portion where Takahashi finally figured out what he wanted to do with the series from a story perspective.

Too bad Duel Monsters will never get full uncut episodes. I remember the uncut dub episodes was pretty good. Too bad it didn't last long.

That's was 4kids idea I started to focus on them then wait will stop doing cause we want to release gx as fast as we can on DVD so all focus on uncut dvd moved to releasing gx tv dub cut on dvd. Also Crunchyroll got are releasing subbed if DM and GX and 5DS subbed

I didn't mind the dub for Duel Monsters. It just 4kids had to edit down the violence to get approve on KidsWB!. The uncut dub was not too bad in my opinion.

Meh, I thought the voices for the dub did not match at all. Kaiba sounded way too monotone, Yugi sounded too old, Yami Malik wasn't psychotic enough, Mai over acted, Jounouchi had that fake accent, Anzu was too whiny, Honda... I'm not even sure what the hell was going on with him, and Bakura was just, ugh. The only voice I felt the got right was Pegasus'.

I wish Dungeon Dice had gotten a bigger arc. And that they had gotten some cool/good "merchandice" put out.

I wish DDM hadn't just been turned into Duel Monsters but with Dice in the anime since it was an entirely different beast in the manga.

I haven't gotten far enough in the manga yet to see it, but I loved Dungeon Dice Monsters as it was in the anime. I wish we had more than just the GBA game based on it.

The DM dub is fine. Putting some major ham in Hamlet at times in those final seasons with Dan Green, but fine overall.

They tried to make an actual board game on it, but it just didn't work, unfortunately.

I remember seeing it on store shelves back in the day, i always wanted to try it but my mom would never buy me it.

It's nothing special, to be honest. I think there could be some promise with expansions on characters and the like, but as it is, it was just kind of dull to play.
I think I still have some of the statuettes it included hidden around here, though :lol

I own it and remember it false advertising that the discs made the board piece I think Japanese version they did
