How? It just dropped you in with the Statue of Liberty guy suddenly revived, then he sends out monsters, who Red starts fighting for what seems like no real reason other than being wacky, and then Torin comes from the sky and says "time for you to be a Kyoryuger". Then it cuts to a montage of the other guys, who are all of a sudden Kyoryugers (even though the enemies have just revived). Then Daigo's tossed into the restaurant, after which we have a fight scene. I don't remember any real explanation in terms of what I'd been thrown into.

Though I normally hate to side with Sentai on these things, I think you need to watch the episode more closely. Most of what you're asking about was explained, if only briefly. We don't know the particular reason why the Debos have resurrected aside from them falling out of the ice which had kept them imprisoned. But Torin does say that Daigo is the last member of the Kyoryugers to be chosen. Recall that Daigo is fighting Gabutyra for a full month before he gets off the island. The others have been fighting while he tried to beat Gabu.

Torin himself says The Frozen Castle has fallen. And Daigo is fighting to save the people of that village, the ones running away very scared? Those people. Candelira is The Soldier of Joy. She embodies the Emotion Joy and uses it when she fights. As for "Statue of Liberty": Chaos explains that their trying to thaw the Heart of their Master. Deboss. And exterminate the dominant species of the world. Millions of years ago it was Dinosaurs, now it's Humanity. And the monster he throws at them first, Debo IceAge, is the monster that did it.

Between Torin and Chaos they pretty much explain the whole plot. So.. I don't understand why you don't understand. (Warned you I love this more than Goseiger, I did!)

Finally got a chance to see this, my thoughts

1) Daigo is nuts... I like him.
2) About GabuTyra, the scene with him coming out of the volcano was awesome, even more so that it wasn't CG.
3) That dance Daigo did before changing made me laugh out loud.
4) Candelira Soldier of Joy looks like something out of the Pale Moon Circus
5) I'm hoping Green doesn't turn out to be one of those characters I want to punch in the face repeatedly


I've been showing sentai to a friend and her son. I got them hooked with Gokaiger. (I ended up buying a Mobitates for her son for Christmas) I think I'll skip Gobuster and show them this one instead.

I had way more fun watching this show than I thought I would, for some reason! Really bright and colourful, and the characters are very cool - I don't think it's possible to not like Daigo, cannot wait to see more of the other team. As for the Deboss guys, really getting a good vibe off them... they remind me a lot of Rita Repulsa's crew from MMPR, for some reason. Dogold is my favourite because he rages at everything! :P

The effects used in the show are really cool! Nice how they're limiting the CGI this time rough, was surprised how well Gabutyra looked! I reckon this is gonig to be an awesome series.

I just noticed when Daigo says he is the fanged hero it sort of looks like he is uing an imaginary dinobuckler

Just watched episode 1...after finishing up Gokaiger, it is nice having Mecha I care about. Seriously, anything happens to that Dino, I have a feeling there will be backlash...also amusing on how the team wants to keep secret identities from each other...I think I like green's fighting style personally, and it is nice to have pink not be so girly girl.

I think this will be a fun ride in the vein Fourze was.

Finally got around to watching it. Pretty good first episode. Didn't grab me like Go-Busters' debut, but it was still pretty strong. I liked the lack of CG for Gabutyra.

I liked the first episode. I had flashbacks to Abaranger when they were introducing the villians since, like Abaranger, they showed their names at the bottom of the screen. The bird man is interesting, I could see him playing a Doggie type of roll. I found it weird how right away they did their roll call without previously knowing each other. Are each of them supposed to be from different countries? I ask, since at the beginning it shows various countries being attacked by the bad guy grunts. I was expecting the dinosaurs to talk like the Abarangers' dinosaurs did. Looking at the opening theme...I like KyoRyuJin's design.
