Oh, I'm no where near the skill level of customizing a kit myself. I'm more in the skill level of hiring someone to do that for me.

Sentai, I didn't think I had the fine motor skills either but seriously just in the last 3 weeks I've already improved. I built (poorly) a few things and have progressively brushed up. Now I'm in the middle of building my Zee-Zulu and Zudah and actually getting better. Just start out with some cheap 144 kits and work your way up. Even the older Master Grades could work for you.

I could try. I just hate the thought of spending money on a model kit, and then flubbing something up that can't be repaired, is all.

I don't need a model kit for that. All toys are customizable if you put the effort into it. Only difference is model kits try to promote customization as a gimmick of sorts.

I'm not saying there's anything wrong that, just that not all of us want to customize every little bit of it. Basically, to each their own.

I've always wanted to learn how to paint figures. I see alot of my TF's, for example, and think.. So many ideas.

Do the Japanese blu-rays of Unicorn have English subs? For that matter, which Gundam series on blu-ray have English subs? Ever since Bandai Visual decided to no longer localize stuff for US distro...I've been disappointed. womp womp.

The latest plamo I built were a couple SD Gundams months back. 00 Quanta, Exia, and the 1st AGE set. The AGE set is a great intro set. Quanta has loose arms...overall it's disappointing I found Exia to be a much more pleasant and stable build(except for his GN Blade cracking at a hole that was too tight for a peg).

I also built the HG30th Gundam which came with a Gundam marker and and intro to Gundam detailing techniques. I got back into Gundam plamo building last year. Bandai has come a long way. I LOVE how they make display stands now. 10+ years back this was not common at all. HGUC has become a kick ass line.

I have the newer HG Shining Gundam and the HGUC Jesta waiting to be built. Ever since getting into plamo I decided to learn more about painting and detailing, and customizing in general. So the aforementioned kits might get fully painted when I build them.

Vintage 1/100 Heavygun from F91. Not a bad kit at all. A bit simplistic with lite plastics, but a fun build none the less.

This thing is the definition of glory. Such an awesome design and it translates so well into model form. All the weapos are removable and the flippers for more of a land combat mode. Very intricate, very nice.

No, Japanese Blu-Rays in general do not have english Subs. And to avoid the phenomenon of reverse importing (i.e. Japanese consumers importing the same product made for the US/European/Other Asian regions) the same show usually does not have the Japanese language track. This is especially noticeable in Blu-Rays because Blu-Rays are largely region free whereas DVDs had different region locks.

Gundam OO Exia Repair (I think that's it's name) is a thing of beauty. Something about that shoulder cape. Did they ever make a gunpla of that Sniper Gundam from OO? I forget the name.

I'd prefer think of them as different series. Mostly because I thought the 2nd season wasn't very good.

Gundam Overkill has arrived :lol

He really is, compared to most Gundams the Repair stands out the most I think.

Only downside though is that the cape is solid plastic and frictions in via ball joints, so it tends to fall off at the slightest touch.

Been meaning to get a second MG Exia actually, so I can make use of the chrome pieces the Ignition Mode comes with.

Absolutely yes to both. Zeong is an awesome Mobile Suit, I prefer the complete version though. With Legs and the Trident. And I never really liked Heavy Arms from the series, I was a bigger fan of the Endless Waltz version.[/QUOTE]

Just torrent them up man. I just got the whole batch of the first 6 movies in one go. It was EXCELLENT. But be aware that the final episode, 7, won't be out til 2014. It's gonna be a painful wait for that one.

The one good thing about Gundam boxes being so large is how you can easily stack them inside one of another like russian stacking dolls. Comes in handy when you start running out of space to put everything.

Not for me though. I'm hardcore OCD so I like to keep all the parts runners. Can't really stack 'em then :o

I usually throw all mine out unless there's extra parts left over:lol

I'd love to see how much Runner's you'd accumulate after a year of collecting these things.

Just put in an order for an HGUC GM Sniper II White Dingo Edition on Mandarake. Also tossed in a couple of ancient (but super cheap) 1/144 kits of the Dijeh and Zaku Tank. I'm talking like 20+ year old kits but they were only like $4 :lol

If that order falls through then I'm looking at the MG V-Dash set and a couple assorted HGUCS like the Bawoo, Hrairoo, Hazel, and Full Frontals Geara Dogga.

But of the 3 kits I have yet to build which one should be next?

Start with the cheaper kits and work your way up would be my recommendation. You'll be able to appreciate the more expensive kit better.

Well if that's the case then my Re-Gz was the cheaper kit. I got it for 2500 yen :p. I already took a chance and built the Master Grade GM Quel. I did screw a bit up on it but I think I did well enough to progress a little further. But it was also pretty cheap so I'm not terribly worried. Built 4 HG's this week past week too. Each time I'm getting a bit better.

How soon till you start attempting custom paint jobs? :p

I gta get a better MG myself.Got the Crossbone Fullcloth and its good and all,but very,how do I say it,finnicky.Parts of him like to fall off and the hands aren't the greatest.I have to say the MG's I want the most are the Gundam Wing EW versions.They are so damn sexy.Especially Sandrock.
