She died in the Ultimate comics, too.

If anything her death in Ultimate is even worse. I remember reading it and going, "maaaaaan........".

That would probably also fit under the umbrella of unceremoniously canceled. But in all honesty the Raimi movie made Gwen mere window dressing for Peter and MJ's problems. I suspect if MJ were in this new movie she'd be like Gwen in Spider-man 3.

I think the problem with Gwen's death is that it's probably gonna be telegraphed like mad just by the appearance of the Green Goblin.
So emotional weight will be countered by any savvy comic fan being able to see it coming miles away.

I just watched Kung Fu Panda 2. Now I want to watch various Wuxia movies.

It's the same feeling I get watching Gekiranger.

Or they could make an unexpected plot twist by not having the Goblin kill her just like in Ultimate.

The Kung Fu Panda series is an underrated gem.

It'd be an interesting twist for Gwen's possible death. It would make things a lot more intense and not as foreseen.

And Kung-Fu Panda is awesome. I seriously loved that movie, which is great, since I thought I'd hate it :lol
I loved the sequel just as much.

When I heard Jack Black and a star-studded cast were signed, I was biased against the movie. But the end product is so good it beats many modern wuxia films that veer too close to being pretentious.

It's too bad Kung Fu Panda 3 is taking so long. :(

My only problem with the first film was that the climax was kind of...Dull. Po's training sequence and the Tai Lung's escape were building up to something great, but it was just bouncing around and then Pinkie grip. Kind of a let down.

I much preferred Kung-Fu Panda 2. That was just awesome.

I knew there was a reason for the hidden Panda village scene at the end!
I even shouted "Sequel Hook!" when I saw it.

I think Kung-Fu Panda 3 was announced before 2 was even released :lol

I hope not becuase that would be predictable. MJ and Peter do not need to be a couple in every incarnation.

I enjoyed the first Kung FU Panda, but that is because it reminded me so much of GekiRanger for some reason. Haven't watched it in years though, so who knows what I will think of it today.

Considering a whole generation of teenagers are masturbating over Emma Stone I doubt they'd wanna kill her off yet, they'd probably end up losing about three quarters of their audience.

That's unfortunate. It'd still be an emotional impact on Peter (Contrary to popular belief, Peter DOES eventually get over Uncle Ben, unlike what the Raimi Trilogy thinks).

While I didn't dislike the climax, I did feel the pinkie grip was a bit of a cop-out.

Kung Fu Panda 2 was crazy awesome. It had a fascinating villain and beautiful art.

Picked up Django Unchained this past week. One of Tarantino's finest; a great blend of action and comedy with well-written characters.

It's Tarantino, so it is always going to have incredible characters and a great story.

I thought it was...okay.

I felt the film was very drawn out and for a Tarantino picture really restrained, I mean sure the violence was stylish and bloody but also largely self contained, and something a spaghetti western should never feel is restrained.

Especially when the inspiration for this, one of my favourites, was Django which was up until recently considered one of the most violent films ever made outside of your usual video nasty garbage.

With a serious edit and a massive trim down Unchained could be the best Tarantino Film yet but in its current form I actually found it one of his weaker efforts, especially as I saw it right amongst the hype machine at the time.

I'm watching the Kenan and Kel movie where they fight a headless knight, this movie is surprisingly dark for a kids movie.

They've been airing it on Teen Nick's the 90's are All that block at least one a week for the past Month.

I haven't been keeping up with Nick recently outside of Saturday mornings to watch TMNT.

I'm watching Indiana Jones and the last crusade, this is my first time watching an Indie movie to be honest.

Caught the original Lilo and Stitch again for the first time in years, and goodness it was a beautiful movie. Touching, funny, witty and just great all round. Now I know what to add to my top movies list for the Disney Animated Canon.

I loved Lilo and Stitch. Such a great movie. The first half more so than the second, ironically :lol

That I would have to agree actually. The action-packed climax is great and very fun, but it's definitely a little diminished compared to the unique, charming first half. I think my favourite scenes in the movie are the interactions between Nani and Lilo.

Yeah, the touching and tragic story of the two sisters really is a major highlight. It's actually almost like a mood whiplash when you remember that the movie was supposed to be about an alien monster :lol

I felt that a bit too! When the (hilarious!) gags stopped coming as the story focused on the sad story of the two sisters, I thought to myself silently, "This is really good, but wasn't I laughing a lot just a while ago?"

At any rate, I'll have to say this is a strength of the movie. It achieves so many things despite looking so unassuming initially.

And the weirdest thing is that I only really appreciate it now. I loved Lilo and Stitch as a kid, but my attention was focused on the gags and the funny lines (which are still great today). However now I appreciate the drama a lot more and it really is astounding what Disney had created back then. Newfound love, indeed!

I really like Lilo and Stitch. Damn, it's a good movie. It has drama, humour, and action. Making it awesome

Finally saw Wreck it Ralph. I liked it and is one of the better western animated films that I've seen in a while. Also Vanellope... good god, she is without a doubt the most adorable thing ever put in an animated movie ever! I mean look at that face, who can honestly say that they hate that face?

Her spanish voice makes her even more adorable, i was literally going "KAWAII!!!" when i saw it.

I personally prefer her English voice, for obvious reasons. I mean come on, it's Sarah Silverman! :D

I actually watched Wreck It Ralph earlier this month! It's an awesome and amazing movie! I'm not a fan of Vanellope's VA, but it was an otherwise great movie :D

I watched that hungover in 3D. I feel I made the right choice. Loved it!

I watched Lilo & Stitch on Monday funnily enough :lol

Watched Lilo & Stitch 2: Stitch has a Glitch last night, which I really enjoy. Many people seem to overlook it because:

a) it isn't considered canon because of the series
b) Dakota Fanning is doing Lilo's voice instead of Daveigh Chase
c) its a Disney sequel

BUT I like it a lot. Yes its not as good as the original obviously but as far as Disney sequels go I'd consider it one of the best and upholds the core values of the first film a lot better than the series does.

Yeah, the series kind of killed it for me. Lilo became very annoying to me and the stories ranged from okay to blah... I should really re-watch the movie sometime and keep the series as far out of my mind as possible.

I don't hate the series by any means (Leroy & Stitch is a particularly good finale film) but yeah the stories are very mixed and the sheer amount of experiments there suddenly are kinda kills things a bit.

Could be worse though, it could be the godawful anime.
