They're a group of Digimon whose primary purpose is to protect the Digital World and to serve Yggdrasil.

However, they've always been ancillary characters, never the primary characters, in Digimon fiction, so we only know tidbits and portions of them. We'll still working on learning all 13 of them (Currently at 12 revealed Knights).

The closest work of fiction we've had to focus on them was X-Evolution, but even then, only 4 of them appear in it.

The only Digimon game i've ever played is Dawn, i hope to play the 3DS game someday.

I was never a big Digimon World player.
I just couldn't get past the eccentric Digivolutions based on arbitrary traits.

I much preferred Dawn and Dusk for sticking to the more solidly set Evolution lines.
Also for telling you the requirements for how to get who you want. It's awesome.

If the game told me what I was doing wrong rather than just throwing a pile of poo at me then maybe I would've been!

The first game's biggest problem was that too much time needed to spent training until you get to champion form just to walk around and play the damn thing.

I felt that Digimon World Dawn/Dusk for the DS was the best of the series (Though I'm not a fan of the first person perspective during battles or how some Digimon are so stupidly difficult to obtain it's sometimes not even worth it).

Correction, Paladin Mode is the one strong enough to start the Knights and wield one of the Royal Knight's powers in the form of a freaking badass sword.

You have no idea how much i searched for a copy but had to settle with one without a box.

However, the Omnimon from Our War Game, the Magnamon from Adventure 02, and the Gallantmon from Tamers aren't the Knights. They just happen to be the same Digimon species.

The Knight iteration of those characters debuted in X-Evolution alongside Alphamon.

I considered it best because it wasn't as odd as the others.
Agumon became Greymon. Patamon became Angemon, and the game gave you clear cut instructions for what you need to do to evolve them.

If the eccentric and outlandish Evolutions was what you liked in prior Digimon World games, Dawn/Dusk probably won't be your kind of game...

That's reason number 2 for why I dislike Frontier so much.

Reason 1 is not having a clear direction for their story.

I love that sword. I'd be all over it.
But I think the wings are a bit much, design wise, but eh, I wouldn't be against them.

While he's not my favorite, but I do love his design and weapon.

Yeah, I much prefer lineal evolution. Although messing around with the various combinations on World did turn out to be a lot of fun.

Most lines did have tangents, but, like I said, it spelled out what stats you needed and what level they had to be to get to such a form, so I loved it.

Oh Digimon World talk... I loved, loved, loved Digimon World 3. Never beat it though... Even after getting a rom a few months ago and starting over.

But the evolution trees in that thing were absolutely ridiculous. I probably would have preferred simpler, linear lines than allowing all Rookies to get literally everything in some way.

I never got my hands on World 3. I looked and looked, but I just couldn't find it. I could only ever play 2, 4, and Dawn.

Wasn't 4 a Limited release or something?

The only Digimon game I played was that one Frontier game for the GBA, that I can't remember the name of.

Anyway, rewatched the Japaense sub of Ep 1 of Tamers.
I know for certain I've seen the first 10 episodes of Tamers subbed, but I didn't recall the opening theme spoiling everything. Huh.
So...Yeah. Good on you, whoever dubbed Tamers for S3, for silhouetting the evolutions beyond Champion and not revealing Kazu and Kenta's partners in episode 1 :lol

I played Battle Spirits 1 more, myself, but then again, both of those games were way too chaotic.

Yeah that is kind of why I wanted to see the sub, since it's the most complete and true version. I see nothing wrong with dubs in themselves, but if it's both a dub and a severe butchering of the original material as well then I'll stick with the subs thanks.

Well, to be fair to the Tamers dub, it actually changed astoundingly little, keeping the likes of Beelzemon's shotguns actually firing bullets, to Yamaki actually having a lighter, to almost no changes in story or plot.

Granted, they effed up Gallantmon's voice, but the rest was pretty good.

And yeah, DS is region free. 3DS is not, however.

The 3DS IS region free, just only with DS games.
