I don't see why not, you're using something from your bitz box.

I found this page, which is always a good reference for paint issue, especially sprays.

Hm...I still want to check with Kiryu, though.

Did you paint the blue on top of a primer or the black/white? Did you paint it indoors or out?

Sometimes bubble/wrinkles in spray paint can be from not allowing the previous coat enough time to dry. Too much humidity/heat can also cause the paint to act up.

As long as it's something you already started, I don't mind if you wanna add parts to an on going project.

Oh no, that's not it, my first Gundam model was an HG Saviour, and it fell apart. I thought maybe I could salvage it's front waist skirt.

I think the GM Sniper should suffice. Though I am considering leaning towards more of a heavy weapons type build. I may pick up 1 or possibly 2 more kits at a local joint to round out my work.

I'd suggest looking into Kotobukiya's weapon unit line. They might have a few things that could work well with what you have in mind.

I'm trying to stick strictly to Bandai 1/144 or High Grade kits. New and vintage.

Well the weapons I'm talking about are exactly like building Gunpla, right down to coming on sprues.

They're made by a different company but the process is exactly the same.

I have a couple of those Koto weapons, and they're pretty neat. In fact, had I not given them a try a few months ago, I probably wouldn't be getting into Gundam right now.

I really want that Strong Rifle, looks cool, plus I saw a strange kit-bash somebody did with 4 or 5 of them, where they were able to build an articulated robot out of it, and I thought that was really neat.

You could buy the System weapons set # 4 for a sniper rifle.

Thats a possibility, but I really should stop buying so many kits for one project :lol

Man I got so many ideas in my head I don't know which one to execute.

I could go back with my original plan with the G-Xiophs…or kitbash it with my Dynames and make a Crossbone Full Cloth inspired build.

OR

I could buy the G-Bouncer, give it the limbs from the AGE 1 and make a police themed G-Bouncer build.

OR

I could pick up another Zeydra, give it the Sword Bits from my LBX Achilles D9 and make it into Weltal ID from Xenogears…

OR

Do the G-Elements build I talked about before in the Gundam thread….

I say Cop G-Bouncer or G-Xiphos and Dynames.

Something about the G-Bouncer just reminds me of the Ingrams from Patlabour.

Looking good, just enough white to break up the red tones, and some grey for added contrast.

Don't get me wrong, I love the Astraea type F, but it is a bit of a sea of red.

It looks good,really like how the grey follows the frame.I'm on the last of the painting and the first steps of coating now.Minor setbacks here and there,but hopefully by friday I should be done with mine.

First half of the matte coating should be done by tomorrow.Half to apply a second coat to the other half of the build,so it'll be ready for completion Friday.Looking really good so far,contemplating decal choices.I have the normal yellow stripes I'm might put on,might not,but I also have small warnings signs and labels I can put on around it.

Done and done.I present the GM Striker Custom.For my first paint job,not too bad.Really had troubles with it,which is why it doesn't look that great,but you can't learn without mistakes.I can't wait to see everyone else's though.I know they'll blow mine out of the water.lol

The biggest problem is that the paint keeps wearing off the model,so he's now stuck in that pose perm.lol

Nice job with the repaint. How many coats of clearcoat did you apply?

Adding a top coat will make the paint more durable.

So, what you're saying is...I should matte coat mine.
