In my opinion Megaforce is currently better than overdrive and turbo... Ninja storm not so much.

It would actually make more sense to make Gokaiger a kind-of Alien Rangers team for Saban's (lack-luster) second try. My personal thinking is that they could have altered Gokaiger into Gosei's original Megaforce team which betrayed him and turned to piracy: The Megaforce-X. This makes sense in using the Goseiger vs. Gokaiger from the 199 Hero Special. They could then drift from the original plot and have the pirates too injured to fight, so they pass on their powers to Troy and the others. The Keys have always been with Gosei, but it was the pirates intention to master the tech to use them and eventually swipe them. I know this is rambling, but I just wanted to put it out there. Realistically speaking, we can hope Saban and his crew are actually (silently) paying attention to the complaints of fans and have an agenda up the sleeves; a method to the madness.

Know what I'd like to see a return to? The American Only Battlizer. Look at the amazing designs we've gotten over the years because of that beauty of an idea. And I'm really hoping they make a return to it.

am i only one that thinks that the writers might have changed their minds about sm suits meaning they could be the primarily suits? since the megaforce keys being made, super megaforce all over the merch, with no rerelease of the gosei morpher?



in super samurai they rereleased the samurizer since the super modes werent different suits. it's just something that just doesnt make sense.

i mean they will have their megaforce suits, im just saying it will be mmpr season 2 thunderzord transformation when they morph.

With the dvd only gold mode for goki red I could happen. I would love to see a Saban USA 20 year battliser near the end of the show.

The toys don't dictate the show though. It would appear that way but, there is a a lot of gosiger footage they did not get too that we saw in the megaforce theme.
I would be over the moon if they did.

Alright guys, with the premier coming closer it's time to go over what we know.

*According to promo shots on Facebook the vehicles will be named Super Mega and then the name of the vehicle. (So Emma's will be Super Mega Sub).

*RoboKnight will be in the series but as to how much and how at all we've no idea yet.

*Gokai Silver will be named Super Megaforce Silver, his character named Orion, and will pilot the Q-Rex Zord (yes it was called something else in a recent convention shot, but until we see confirmation otherwise we're going with Q-Rex).

*They'll start fights as Megaforce (Goseiger) and then switch to Super Megaforce (Gokaiger) and then change into the past Rangers using their keys.

*Vrak will return at some point in his final form from his Goseiger adaptation, and is one of the Princes of the invading Armada.

*The Super Mega Morphers will not (according to the video posted below) give the roll calls as the Rangers use their respective keys.

Well...I think Gai's armor counts well enough as a new armor, especially if they use any of the footage that shows Gokai Red wearing the Golden Anchor armor.

But yeah, I do miss the creativity behind the battlizers, like Cole's, even though they'd only appear in like, what, one or maybe two episodes?

Ok, I have had a feeling since EP 1. Troy is somehow connected to zordon and eltar but has lost is memory. Ends up getting is memory back, finds out he is zordon's son "The phantom Ranger". Proceeds to kick the armada's ass.

Oh god no. The Phantom Ranger concept is one of the best original ideas Saban ever had back in the day. It would kill any nostalgia I still have for them to ruin Phantom Ranger by linking him to Troy :(

I dont know why else he would have visions of the future. If not Troy who would the phantom ranger be?

My favourite rumour about this show is still when Saban said they'd spend money on this show, and try and market to adult fans who've been there through the whole franchise. That rumour was almost as crazy as when we thought Kyoryuger would include ice age mammals! :lol

If those prove to be anything I will be surprised, they used them about 5 times in all of Megaforce, and since Robo Knight disappeared, he didn't really mention them. Though we are only two episodes in, so who knows?

We get a glimpse at several new things in this trailer including:

1. New footage of the Legendary Battle.
2. A full look at Orion's costume.
3. The full Super Megaforce team morph.

What if Orion's planet is the origin of the Ranger Keys for Super Megaforce? He's where Gosei got the tech for the keys, and that's why he has one.

I'm still holding out that all the Sentai Rangers - Maskman, Dairanger, Flashman - are from Orion's home planet, and have since died fighting the Armada and ultimately failed their world. It's all a little bit like a twelve year old's fanfiction I admit but I'm PUMPED for the show to finally have a plot, and a plot that is a lot darker than the sentai equivalent.

Yeah I am holding out for that too.

Orion did say that "This Planet won't lose it's Protecters to!"

A since Gai's flashback footage isn't that usable, a scene of the spirits of Ryu Ranger, Mask Red and Flash Red - the protectors of his world - handing across the Silver Morpher and Key to Orion would explain where his powers came from.

I think you're going to be extremely disappointed if you think that's going to happen. Orion hasn't given any impression that there's going to be a sudden dark turn to Super Megaforce, even if Orion's revenge thing lasts more then next episode (which I doubt), that's still just exactly the same as Ahim's back-story.

I admit that Silver Lining's Part 1 was better then the abysmal first 6 episodes, but I feel people are really jumping the gun here just because Super Megaforce managed one average episode. I think that within 2 episodes we'll be overloaded with Anvilicious scenes about friendship and teamwork and Orion's vengeance will all be forgotten by the end of the Gold Mode episode(9). Maybe, maybe if we're lucky Zatsurig will have been the destroyer of Orion's planet and they'll re-film Ahim's vengeance scene for Orion, but I honestly cannot see anything like that coming out of Super Megaforce.

So here's my theories:

-Don's jealousy of Gai will be localised as Jake being jealous of Gia crushing on Orion
-Gosei will give Orion the sixth Ranger keys and there will be no hand-waving as to why Gosei didn't give them to the others
-Orion will have any non-teamwork centric goals quickly crushed by badly written Troy dialogue
-Episode 10 (The Tensou spotlight that I'm dreading) will include the footage of them getting the Super Megaforce equivalent to the Gokai Galleon Buster. Instead of Don, Tensou will have built it.
-Robo Knight and Vrak will return for 2 episodes and have footage from Brajira and Dark Gosei Knight's episodes. Robo Knight has disappeared because Vrak took his offline body and is reprogramming it.
-The next episodes of the missing 4 will adapt Ahim's spotlight featuring the arrival Akudos Gill and Zatsurig. Damaras' 2-Parter and Insarn's death will also be condensed into these 2 episodes.
-The series finale will include the Legend War (duh) which will mostly be 199 Hero footage and will include the storm of the Gigant Horse and the last half of the Akudos Gill battle.
-Orion's ship will take the place of The Free Joker in the finale. The fact that The Free Joker is actually a modified Zangyack ship will be ignored and the footage left the same as per SMF standard.
-Alternatively, the missing 4 will be Akudos Gill's return and Zatsurig, Damaras getting a full episode and Insarn and Dairando's defeat will be in one episode, Ackudos Gill's defeat footage will be in Episode 19 while in Episode 20 Vrak takes over and the Legend War is against him, with Brajira being the final battle of the season. The Legendary Megazord would've been destroyed in the same way the Gokai Galleon was, so they'll suddenly remember all those neglected Megaforce Zords for the final fight. Robo Knight would have been searching the world for Rangers.
-Gia will reveal she likes Jake in some way in the finale (probably the final scene), but nobody will really care because, ugh, Gia.
-The Halloween special episode will use the Dairanger tribute footage, as it appears none of the previous episodes feature White Ranger, which is probably not ideal for Saban
-The Christmas special episode will be the Battle Fever tribute, with the scenes of Battle Fever cut. The Final Wave with Gokai Christmas and Battle Fever will be redone (This one's pretty obvious) OR cropped to cut out the Battle Fever members.
- Alternatively, the Christmas or Halloween episode will be an adaptation of the episode about the kid and the shooting star
- Bonus Ranger Keys will not be explained, but they will feature in the footage of Dairando's defeat
- Now that they have a sixth, any more Sentai-only footage outside of Dairanger will be just more mistakes rather then the Maskman and Flashman joke
- Unlike in Gokaiger, not every Power Ranger Key will have been used by the series' end (Not counting US-only)

I seem cynical, but I'm trying to be realistic. 11 episodes really doesn't give a lot of breathing room when we know that 8-9 are Silver-centric and 11-13 are filler while 14 is the RPM tribute and 15 is Vekar and Argus' big finish. That leaves 5 episodes for Akudos Gill, Damaras, Insarn, Dairando (who I assume is unavoidable due to footage) and Vrak to be dealt with plus the Legend War. I'm looking forward to comparing my theories to this once the show finishes!

Also, sorry, I have no idea what Insarn's name is in Super Megaforce. Has it ever been said?

Also, finally, but its a given:

-Despite the fact that Super Megaforce has started using the Gokaiger role-call with the gigantic flapping Pirate Flag, which makes the fact they're pirates even more obvious, there will never be any explanation or even hand-wave as to why they're all pirates or why Black became Green. Ever.

How does Gosei have the SPD keys? How is there any info on SPD? That squad of Pwer rangers won't exist for another 11 years. I find that kind of odd. I guess that's what happens when you have a season set on the future. Also, of RPM was in another demension, how can they access the Morphing Grid powers section on RPM?

Remember, the Morphing Grid either gained access to those powers when their respective teams visited the main timeline(SPD/ Dino Thunder, and RPM/Samurai) or their powers were already in the grid, ready to be accessed at any time. You could say the same thing for Time Force as they were originally powers from the future, however since Wes is a present day user of them, the Time Force powers are considered in the main timeline.

Super Mega Basco...As if
 

They failed so flatly with the creative possibilities surrounding Super Megaforce that this will be far from a perfect installment. In fact, Turbo and even Operation Overdrive are starting to look and sound better. One way they could have done this is include Basco's monster form. Here are my ideas:

- Basco is a protege of Broodwing and a villain of Time Force.

- The first part of the Orion two-parter should have centered on his planet.

- Most of the Sixth Rangers appear to assist Orion.

- Basco stole the powers of Time Force, S.P.D., and even RPM.

- These powers are recovered by Gosei and converted into Ranger Keys.

- Basco built the new Q-Rex (which needs a new name).

- It was secretly commissioned by the Titanium Ranger.

- It also has the core of Serpenterra within it.

There you go, a slightly better (in my mind) manner in which to handle this.

Turbo got better when cast was fresh and new and not old cast from zeo minus rocky.

And Operation Overdrive was always all around good, especially with Dax

Turbo and Overdrive are considered to be the low-points of PR. This is apparently based-off of collective reasoning by fans that they just hit a snag and started to drag. I will admit they had good points and there are always going to be some episodes which surpass others (which is about all we can hope for with Super Megaforce at this point). I merely tried to say that the ones most say are the worst actually look better now when compared alongside the less-than pretty reception Megaforce/Super Megaforce has gotten. And besides, it goes without saying that some seasons get the love as opposed to others. It just all depends on what suits your style.
