Okay, first things first: gummie commercials totally don't count.
:p Yeah, i liked this one. I'm definitely getting a strong early Heisei vibe from the way the story is structured and I am loving it. It almost feels like I'm watching Ryuki again. So far the show is totally living up to its "no more two-act structure" promise and it is really working for me. I'm still having some trouble accepting the fruit, though. |

http://www.tokunation.com/attachment...8&d=1382486622 I really liked this episode. Kouta's sister's spiel about what a job is caused me to ponder whether I agreed with that or not, but aside from that, I like the realistic angle that they're going for. Oh, and Baron's last line... that can't be good. |
So... where are you guys who watch it on YouTube doing it again? ;_; Or is it not the same channel every week?

I have done that. Even checked playlists. Can't find full episodes beyond just somebody who uploaded episode 1 yesterday. |

Pretty good episode. Didn't get to see enough of Baron fighting but hopefully that will change. Also nice to see them keep building the world of Gaim with the school and corporate interests.
Also, I agree the conversation is handled badly but I can understand why Akira won't take Kota's money: he's essentially gambling with his seeds, cash and quite possibly his life. Anytime someone gambles like that, eventually they lose. Its reasonable that Akira doesn't want her brother to go down that road. |

But well, people don't always express things properly. |
I hate that i'm the only one on the fence about this series... but I am hoping for good things!

Come to the seedy side KyoryuBlue. We're waiting on the Chew Chew.
I think the problem with Akira's argument wasn't the logic. It was the writing. It was written (or perhaps translated) pretty awkwardly. When I think of someone who has given up their responsibilities to go back to something that is considered frivolous by the mainstream world (lets say for example Magic The Gathering players or Twitch players who compete for money (*Note: Dormamu has in fact done both of these)), I would consider the logical argument to be that of "You idiot! Go back and get a real job, we need money!" not "It's because it helps your fellow mankind". That's like a line straight out of an economics book. However, if...and this is a big if....the theme of this current series is that the things we do affect those around us, particularly with the fate talk, and the destiny of all, etc, then the writing is trying to make a point. TLDR; she's hot, and she can talk yiddish for all I care, as long as she doesn't become the morality pet of this series I'll be happy. Although I think "jailbait" (Thanks Locke, now I can't get that out of my head) might be that role filler. |
This episode was just bananas!

Yet another great episode!
A few items of note: I want to know what the S Lock that Sid had was. I don't really understand the sisters' position on money and work. He makes good money, and he destroys monsters and happens to save people on occasion. Sounds win win to me. Too Juicy to handle!! Dat commercial :lol Baron seems to be coming off as the generally dickish secondary rider but we'll see if he develops more personality over time. Really looking forward to Ryugen next week. |

Well, just saw it, great episode, Baron was beast to appear and just make Kouta look like an idiot :lol

Define the phrase "look like an idiot." :lol |

I love the fact that even the Baron team member thought that the giant Banana walking was ridiculous, and then soon shut up once the armor completes its transformation. I have personally heard the "Your job is not a real job" speech way too many times from too many people, so even though some lines are too idealistic, it wasn't far fetched. Her views of jobs in a traditional sense falls in line with the Japanese ideology.
That commercial, oh that Gummy commercial... and then followed up by Gaim weiners... I have no words :lol |
The gummy commercial, dear god it was indeed too juicy to handle.....
|
Looooove this ep. Mai looks cute no matter what hair she goes with. I like Kouta's sister for not taking the gaming money to instill responsibility into him. Baron's henshin was boss. I didn't think fighting with a lance would be a good idea but he made it work. Now that Gaim has proven to be my favorite Toku show now, next week can't come soon enough.
Oh yeah, that gummy commercial is, you know...JUICY! :lol |
I think they should have this kid on the show itself. He is the embodiment of
http://www.tokunation.com/attachment...1&d=1382473835 :D Mini Gaim anyone? |
So for those of you who said JUICY! would never be "in-show", well this isnt but close enough :lol
Oh and..................... JUICY!!! |

Hey, so I'm not sure if anyone's answered this question already, but...
At the end of SHT, horse-bound Gaim says "Join us Friday night." So... what's happening Friday night? Is this a schedule change? Are they airing repeats on Friday nights? Is there some kind of movie release or live event? I'm... at a loss. |

Hypocritical bullshit was that scene. Now I wish I had waited for the subs before voting. I hope this isn't an ongoing plot thread. Quote:
Probably not but you know. |
Wow, Kouta's sister is a massive bitch.
I'm glad Baron's teammates had the same reaction I did to the giant banana haha. It was a little too silly for me to have him start walking around with it on his head. I was also hoping for more of an actual fight between Gaim and Baron this episode. I'm sure it'll come eventually though. And Sid... Oh how I want to know what is up with Sid and the Invess. |
I think somebody is jealous of Mai and Kouta's friendship.
|
Yep, Baron is awesome. Just ordered both his and Gaim's Armor Change toys today because the show is good enough to make me want them. Sid's role in this is interesting, I look forward to seeing it progress.

I wonder what caused the open rift at the start, when Kota and Ryugen were walking.
|
I was absolutely confused by that :lol

Loved this thing. Including Kaito's Banana-Head walk before the Armor flipped :lol I think that Lock Dealer though is going to be more than we know right now, just can't decide what. I'm thinking he'll end up being the big bad somehow.
|
Or at least connected to him.
The "S" lock looked really technical and unfinished, like a prototype. He's probably linked to the higher-ups that actually design the locks. |
