I ended up buying this Gokai-oh with TRU's bogo and also got the legendary morpher. He may be missing a few paint apps but short of his chest cannon, I am having a lot of fun with him. Seeing him in person and realizing, hey a Gokai-oh I can really play with and I won't have to just display because he has fragile parts and hard to replace.
I was a big naysayer of this figure, but now I say, give Gokaioh a chance. (sorry legendary megazord is too generic to use, cause every megazord is legendary to me) |
Looks pretty much like I expect a BOA Megazord to look. Not perfect, but not terrible either, just a likeable version of the mech.

It looks good, but it makes me wish I picked up the Gokaiger version a hell of a lot more now. Oops..
|
I will own this simply because it's Pirate themed. That's the only thing that matters in this life, haha

Looks nifty.

I've been torn between going after the Japan release or the American one. The BOA ones always disappoint in some way, though the proportions are nicer (especially on the Samurai Megazord). Still, for Super Megaforce, I think I want the show-accurate opening doors on the Megazord. Still, I could not stop myself from buying the BOA release when I happened across it at Wal-Mart. So, what's the plan? In a situation like this, just do what many collectors do: get both. For now, the BOA release will have to do until the BOJ one comes in! |
I'm actually thinking about getting this one!
|
I've had this for a while, and I really quite like it. I just wish there was a way for his hat to securely attach to the other Megazords. Absurd, I know, but it would be awesome.

Ooh. I think I need to get the Legendary Megazord (the Gokai Oh is too expensive XD)
|
It's a bit glossy for my liking, but I like it so far.

Havent bought a megazord since 2010, but this one is shaping up really nice
|
Den O, on the back of the box there's a photo showing the included ranger key placed in the chest. Is there a spot there to plug it in or does it just stay there by friction?

Just a quick review of mine.
I pretty much love it. I have a few minor QC issues, mainly the fins on the hat. It's like the screws aren't tight enough, yet they cannot be tightened further. Also, my main sail is crooked. I'm not sure if it's the hole or the peg itself, but it's pretty frustrating. That being said, the pluses are pretty awesome. It can combine with other Zord Builder parts, it can combine with so far all the Super Megaforce Zords, and has loads of pegs to allow for a highly possible "Ultimate" formation that leaves nothing out. My biggest complaint about the Japanese toys is that generally, Marine and Trailer have no real place to go, but with the Zord builder, something could happen. Especially with "Kanzen Gokai Oh US version." It would be nice to have a place to put Jet, Racer, Marine and Trailer, and hopefully "Gojyuzin" has the option to have a place for all of them, creating a secondary "Ultrazord" if they cannot all combine together in one huge CF. However, I managed to get all the Gokai mecha on the cheap, so no complaints there. The son can play with the US version and I'll fiddle with it, while still having my own "better" quality as well. All in all, US Gokai Oh is super fun, and I recommend him. |

There's no denying that there's a lot of fun to be had with this set though. It's unfortunate that the Delta Runner & Mystic Dragon are of a bit lower quality than the Megazord though. But the Zeo Racer is excellent. And your sail isn't a one off thing. I've now handled 3 LegendarY Megs and all of them have a crooked chest sail. |
I'm not sure I should be thrilled with that, or saddened by the poor QC. Either way, thanks Den-O.

So, how far back have they been doing this "Zord builder thing?" What lines can they be combined with?
