Agreed on the cast. The have a great dynamic when they interact. Lucky coincidence that most of them knew each other before Toqger.

Supposedly they all have second ghost lives stored inside them that are released when they are defeated. I'll miss Lucky and (his? her?) joyro though.

The ToQ guys' blog posts together are great, they're such a lively group. Kyoryu's actors seemed like they didn't connect much outside of the show, but this team seems like they do.

If not it would be hella awkward for them :lol

As for Kyoryu, we mostly had Ucchi, Ami, Nossan and Souji together, while Ian and Daigo rarely had photos with the others. Ami and Yayoi became very close towards the end of the show, though.

The Toqgers had the advantage that Raito and Tokacchi were together in the Prince of Tennis musicals. I think they both know Hikari, too. Also, Hikari and Kagura knew each other from a model job. I think Mio is the only one who's completely new, but they all seem to have a great chemistry overall.

Hikari and Tokacchi seem particularly close.

Except Red had never used his gear before and he was awesome with it. Most Sentai members, and most Riders for that manner, seem to have instant magical knowledge of how to use their gear with consummate skill.

I just finished watching it, finally. I...I...loved it from the bottom of my tiger boy heart! Hikari, Mio, Raito were instant favorites for me, I think I can give Tokacchi a chance, but Kagura is just so annoying and unbearable. She's just so annoying to me for some reason, but I'll just have to get over it. Loved the villains and the henshin scene. The comedy in this was great and had some WTF moments, kind of reminding me of Gekisou Sentai Carranger.

The fight scenes were amazing and I actually stuck around for the mecha fight. Usually I skip the mecha fights, unless it's a key or important fight. And gotta say, Tokkyu-Oh looks a lot better in the show than in the toy version, but I'm sure it will still sell well.

I also love the team as a whole, and the flashback thing to them as kids.

Also, the Shadow minions/henchmen are just funny and naive to me. :lolol

Overall, great first episode for me, it impressed me. I look forward to experiencing the imagination and colorful trainbow. Can't wait for the second episode! :D

But I am super excited for what's to come, because the first episode is really good.

The first episode was stunning and filled with comedy and epicness as Raito becomes TokkyuIchigo. Just like the first episode of Kyoryuger... man, do I miss them :cry, but ToQger is starting to make it's way into my heart already. :)

What the hell did Pink's weapon do? I do like the design on the mooks, their weapons, weren't they the ones used in Gokaiger? This just doesn't have the "grab" for me...

Pink shrinking the mooks down to pick them off was like a child burning ants with a magnifying glass. And yet she made it seem hilarious :lol

I thought the first episode was pretty cute, but kinda generic. I've been fond of trains since I was little, but I can't imagine myself rushing to see this every week.

Ohhh my Gridon!!!!!! This show was awesome! This episode was cool! I can see the conductor getting dark later in the season since he can sorta control the Rangers and mech. But still I loved the way they used the scenes with the Resha's those were just brilliantly executed, better than having Gabutyra running in a city. I like the comedy this adds to the whole thing like the Conductor and monkey singing together. As well as blue just falling off the train.

His cast seems to have more chemistry together than the Kyoryuegr cast since they didn't really seem to fit, but these guys, oh my, they work perfectly!

I now need trains to play with all year!

I'm quite impress with the series so far, now only waiting for subs to cement my like for it more. Mio and Kagura are looking to be like the Gokai and Gosei Girl Pairs which is good :D

The main villains in the series look amazing.(Except the giant baby,they could totally cut it and I'd be fine with it)

The troopers are great.Love that their weapons are laser tommy guns.

Also I can totally excuse Kagura's weakness because somehow they are all tied together,as childhood friends.I think her being physically weak but with a strong animation doesn't make her a bad character,but a more interesting one.Their group is also tied together because of that tree,and I bet when the subs come out we find out how important that tree is.

Questions arise like "What would happen if everyone else was captured?" or "Will she always be this weak or will she be stronger later?".I personally think she will become a more confident pink,with the rest fo the group supporting her.

They get across really well that this group of heroes is new.They are green around the gills,not some specially trained unit.Yellow has some kendo training.You can tell when she first fights the goons with just their sword mode.I bet Blue acts the way he does because he is a gamer,or he saw it in movies.Green is just a really good fighter.lol.Pink isn't weak more then she just isn't brave enough.Each fight that she came across as weak,I saw scared instead.And red,well he just punches and does what he can to cause damage.

(Sorry for color usage btw,still learning names) Overall I think it's a breath fo fresh air to see a team that doesn't automatically know how to fight or all know martial arts.It can lead to some great stories.

Yeah, I'm going to have to disagree there. If this had anything similar to Flashman, CarRanger, and Gokaiger, it would have been good. However, I can definitely see pieces of Go-Onger and Goseiger in it, as both of those series had terrible first episodes and they just kept on going downhill afterwards.

I must have been watching a different episode than you because I felt no sense of energy whatsoever from this thing. In fact, I was more bored and annoyed than anything else.

If they don't like it, they shouldn't sub it. Why sub something if it is going to feel like a chore?

Kyoryu might not be the best series ever, but it had a gimmick that was fun and interactive, the show had energy, and the cast was not butt ass annoying. I already hate the entire cast of this show from just the raw. Blue is a dumbass that is trying to redo all of Nossan's gimmicks. Red is just as bad as Alata and I hated that dipshit. Green is trying to be the cool man copying off both Ian and Souji. Pink is just down right stupid. Yellow is the only one I really do not have an opinion of at this moment in time.

And I'd rather they actually got back to working on TimeRanger instead of Tokkyuger since they didn't enjoy it. TimeRanger deserves to be finally completed as that series is long overdue. It should have been completed 6 years ago so everyone would be able to enjoy its greatness.

Yeah, I don't know what is going on with Nihon lately. Sure, they have always taken their sweet ass time on things, but this is just getting out of hand. They are like 3-4 weeks behind and not even doing 1080P files because for some reason they can't acquire them even though other groups have had them out for weeks.

I definitely enjoy the designs and feel of the villains. Too bad the troopers look more deadly than they act. I was really hoping for some great grunts again like we had with those from Liveman (ones that are competent and terrifying), but it seems like that is not the case. They are just as worthless as the grunts from the last several years. In fact, I think GekiRanger might have been the last show to feature competent grunts. Or maybe it was Deka...

Nevertheless, like I said, my opinion could change once it is subbed, but they really should have went more for a GoGoV feel than a Goseiger one. I wanted a more serious tone that balances comedy than one that is just full retard comedy.

As long as they play the part of sacrificial cannon fodder for justice perfectly nothing is wrong. :)

This first episode was jam-packed. They introduced all the basic gimmicks very well. The opening does its job very well delivering the energy of the show and the team. Also, they ended in a cliffhanger but made sure they take their first win

In terms of characters, I can't believe everyone is moaning about granny in the pigtails when we had Glasses McFall Over draining the drama out of every scene with his practical gag shit, or Other Guy McForced As Hell doing that sort of contextless 'look how badass I am' routine they do in early sentai, before all the periphery Rangers fall into the background to defeat mooks while I'm like a really shit McAlata guy defeats anyone of importance.
