It's kinda surprising to see so many people say the dancing is pointless when technically it's where all of this kinda started.
Kouta was the first of the Beat Riders to use the Sengoku Driver and what use did he find for it? Fighting in the Inves Games for Team Gaim. It only ended up escalating from there with every other team looking for stronger lockseeds or hoping to get a hold of their own drivers to the point where it became more of an actual war. Add the fact that they were the only ones who had access to the Inves Games, thanks to Yggdrasil, and it only makes sense that the public would turn on them once things got more out of hand. Saying Mai wants to "save everyone with dance" seems way too broad to say. It's more that she's sick of seeing people aim all their anger towards the Beat Riders, knows that it's effecting all the other teams and thinks the best thing to do to try and start changing the minds of the people is to go back to square one and start doing their group dances to entertain like it was originally and not to battle over popularity. |

The dancing was merely a framing device. Something to engage us with the characters at first, just a basic premise. And it served it's purpose, it's too silly to matter while monsters invade from another dimension, and it's time is over.
If they honestly think they can carry something as uniteresting as this on throughout the rest of the series and make it seem important, I think they're fooling themselves. |

Nothing really wrong with the dancing, but it represents a naive and immature outlook many characters have since abandoned. It's no longer needed. |

So yes, this episode was important. Important to the underlining message of the show. |
The hell did I go a week without watchin this? :lol
I loved this one, the dancing wasn't the best, but what do I know about dancing? Bravo I think is seriously going to be gone soon, Jonouchi with him if he doesn't go back to his team. |
I absolutely loved this episode. I love Zack's story and how he becomes Knuckle. I love Kaito's development and just love Gaim and Bravo too. Micchy is going down a bit of a dark path I think.
I can't wait to see Ryouma fight, I hope the episode gets subbed soon. |
MISTAAAAAAAAAAAAH KNUCKLEMAN~!
In typical MidoGreen fashion I maybe late to the party but want to talk :lol. I liked that Kaito stepped down from Team Baron. It shows he realizes he needs to move on to pursue his goals and that he was a burden to his own Team. And entrusting Zack with the team and SENGOKU Driver was good as well. The Beat Riders dance scene was neat, a lot of behind the scenes effort went into getting everyone ready for that. Knunckle's introduction was pretty good. He might have been outclass by the Invess and Bravo, but he didn't give up. Lastly, we have Ryouma showing up as Duke. This should be good fight. Edit: Also, I found the slapstick between Oren and Jounochi rather amusing |
KnuckleBuster is excellent. And yes, that's what I'm calling him. And Oren.. Oren is becoming much more comic relief than an actual threat, but he's good comic relief.
Onward! Oh, and I don't know what team had the pretty girls all in white.. But I like that team. |
