Though reading through this thread many people are just disliking that Saban is using Dairanger footage. Now people can be like, "Ohhh they're lazy!"or"Ohhh why?!? It's not really an anniversary season!".
But like we have Alien Rangers, Power Rangers form the future, would it not be possible to have other rangers?

For once in my life I'm with Locke on this. Now I knew Saban was lazy, but seriously? Using the Dai footage takes the problem and jacks it up well past 11...

Funniest thing about this is, most kids watching this today don't have a fugging clue what they're seeing, or where it came from in Pr canon, maybe they'll recognise RPM or MMPR or whatever, but anything else? Not bloody likely.

Adapting a tribute season for a target audience who can't hope to appreciate it bar "derp, lots of different suits, this is fun" isn't the greatest move they've made to say the least.

Now I admit Japanese kids didn't have much more of a chance at this than ours do, but there was PIRATES to hang onto, and cool action scenes...

I'm seriously beginning to wonder whether some exec somewhere is trying to run PR into the ground yet again. This is the only explanation for the tripe the fandom is being fed. I'm sure saban brands thinks they're doing whats best but...

Ya know, as a kid, I and others had dairanger figures on bikes. No one knew where they came from, but everyone just accepted that they were some sort of power ranger. To this day I remember red, and I wonder if others will too.

In the end of the day this so saban can mainly use the hole team footage with kiba ranger instead of making new footage with the zyu ranger suits and kiba rangers. This is all there purpose is for the show.

It's actually pretty interesting too. Maybe Argus really is RoboKnight. Guess the Armada did a really quick sweep fo the planet and remodeled him while no one was looking. Still, interesting though.

They didn't explain why the Lion Thunderzord is green or why the Pink Ranger's Ninja and Shogun zords were white.

honestly i wasn't expecting dairanger suits to make it into the actual show. and i really do like that we are getting them. if they ever want to explain it more in depth they could always just say that they're new aquitar rangers. i always wondered if they ever changed powers/had other teams when i was younger.

this does not bug me, and in fact, i like seeing the dairanger suits finally get put into power rangers, sure the reasoning is lazy, but jesus christ people, you act like someone shot your dog in front of you as they take your DX biorobo and hit it with a sledgehammer

its power rangers, i'm not saying you have to be happy about this, but chill out. no need to throw a fit over something so simple and insignificant

Maybe this is Saban's way to ok the Dairanger toys for the US market?

Maybe they will go into them being the suits of the original Quasar Saber holders.

Okay, first off. To everyone starting a Legend War of their own, knock it off. Second, let's look at the possibilities in the future here. A: I seem to recall there being talk that there would be "surprises" for people (Sentai/PR surprises), so that might mean that the Dairangers are here merely as a nod to Sentai fans and is being taken out of context here. B: The talk that the Dairangers would have been connected to Magna Defender and the Lost Galaxy Rangers. If so, they could be introducing the powers so that one can get used to their appearance and then explain it in more detail later. Remember, said clip lacks the emotionless Troy. RyuuRanger absent? Unlikely for Saban! If they are going this route, there will be more to be seen. C: They could be setting-up a retcon explanation for the Thunderzords (my desire) that showcases the Dairangers as connected to Zordon, the Quasar Sabers, and Magna Defender. They gave their Zord Powers to Zordon for the sake of fighting Lord Zedd (I think I mentioned this somewhere before). I seem to also remember seeing the casting or script use of "Star Force". Not a wonderfully thought out name, but a name either way. D: The use of other Sentai teams is unlikely because they do not have rights for them. The Dairanger powers are probably glossed over because Dairanger footage WAS used for PR years ago. A theory you ask? Yes Indeed! Will all of this get an explanation? Wait awhile for that one. Will kids care? Maybe. Will we get figures? Possible, but unlikely as of yet because there was no recent reveal during the figure displays. Could there be massive chances with minimal-to-major effort? Without Question! Are there surprises left in store? Quite possible. Should we write the Super Mega we have seen and are likely to see completely off? Perhaps not just yet...

Page after page after page of people being mad and/or defending this whole thing made me just skip it and want to say this:

I can't fault them for using a simple "Never seen before" explanation for these powers. I mean, they were screwed, really. My biggest problem is Emma, actually. The acting by Christina is suffering this season. Her ADR is awful, so far. On camera, she's fine. Good even. All of them have been. But her ADR is painful.

Certainly hope so.

Now that i think about it, don't they have Figuarts?

Me too. Nothing about this show or the toyline celebrates the franchise I love. I find this whole shebang so half arsed, it's insulting, it's clear Saban doesn't give a monkies about this so I won't either.

But welcome to my treehouse, we have all of the Disney DVDs from back when Power Rangers was cared for and good. Maybe they aired these seasons so poorly no one saw them, but we never once got 'not seen on this planet before'.

Not sure what's more annoying, the extreme lack of effort from Saban, or the constant, constant chitter-chatter which will evidently be in every episode for the rest of the show. Are we the stupid ones for expecting differently? I know I had convinced myself they'd do new footage of the White Ranger.

Still, I loved the Dairanger fights in Gokaiger. Luka doing Drunken Punch is awesome.

My favourite (or least favourite I guess) part:
Gokai Green being a goofball with a broom dubbed over with "THERE'S SO MUCH POWER RUNNING THROUGH ME! YOU GUYS ARE GONNA GET SWEPT AWAY! HIYAAAAA!!"

No thank you! Mainline Zord Builders look universally awful, I don't want a huge lack of paint apps if we finally get non-MMPR Legacy Zords.
