The Heartcatch designs are actually what got Precure on my radar. I knew for years it was the magical girl show that came after Super Sentai and Kamen Rider, but the design work for that show really caught my eye. Suite ended up being my gateway series, but Heartcatch was the show that got me looking at franchise.

His designs are so incredibly dynamic, it's a joy to watch them animated.

Heartcatch Episode 9:

Okay, this was a damn good episode and one that hit me pretty hard. I know full well what it's like to be pressured into stuff that I really don't want to do so needless to say Tsubomi's conflict in this episode was one that I connected strongly with. Doesn't hurt that she got some much needed development here ala Nagisa Furukawa that being of the family variety.

Also, can I just say how absolutely useless the Kokoro Pot is? Because aside from containing the heart seeds it's pretty much just dead weight and is relegated to a three second stock animation each episode... what's the point of even having it in the episode at all?

Episode 10 of Heartcatch, the one I've been waiting for, The Biggest Pinch! Dark PreCure Has Appeared!

Holy shit, for the love of Homura Akemi, where do I fucking begin with this one? Well, Dark Precure herself obviously. Finally we get a competent villain for once and she did not disappoint one bit. How she was able to put both Blossom and Marine in their place is impressive to say the least, but the fact that she did it all without even lifting a finger? That's something else entirely. Good god I love Dark Precure, easily my favorite villain of the entire series... Holy shit, I sound like Sentai whenever he gushes over Fury. :lol

Also... that girl with the glasses is Moonlight, isn't she?

Dark is serious business, everytime she shows up the show becomes 10 times more awesome.

Despite having a Yuri HeartCatch isn's as Yuri as other seasons like Doki where the Yuri gets so high at points it doesn't feel like Yuri subtext but blunt Yuri.
Also being called Yuri in such a Yuri heavy fandom sucks.
