Okay, is there any word on when Ankydon will get released? Because I'm probably going to pick up the Stego and Tricera charger packs tomorrow.
|
I found the Ptera Megazord in Cedar Park Texas. So far I am pleased with it. I plan to take so photos and do a full review soon
|
Would anyone know if they're (BoA) they planning to release an AnkyloZord? I wonder how they are plabning to add the Ammonite zord in the series. :/

Toys R Us has had 2 Charged Up Power Sets listed for a week or two now, but no real pictures. Does anyone know what these really look like?
http://www.toysrus.com/product/index...uctId=60959346 http://www.toysrus.com/product/index...uctId=60959326 I'm mainly just curious if the Dino Chargers are normal-looking or repaints. |
And I ended up answering my own question as the local TRU had them in stock today.
So for everyone else, the Dino Chargers are grey with plain stickers (non-shiny) but they supposedly glow in the dark like the Kyoryuger ones. I dunno if that is on all sides or just the one. All the Dinos are molded in new colors, though. BoA is making it really hard to get a single, uniform set of Chargers. The very first releases features non-shiny stickers on the inside, the later series 1 guys have shiny stickers (my Triceratops does, too. It must have been from a running change) but there are QC issues with the stickers not being well applied and peeling up already, all the series 2 guys are actually obtainable but are in all new colors on the outside, and now these sets are plain stickers that glow in the dark. Sheesh Doesn't help that the series 1 grey Chargers that match the show are so hard to find outside of the initial assortment. I was lucky that I found the 2nd set of 5 and don't think I'll ever find the final 5... EDIT: Oh yeah, and the Charges that come with Zords feature non-shiny stickers.. when they're not also clear on the outside for the Megazords |
If you're looking for Series 1 chargers past #1-5, it's worth trying Amazon. I was able to find most of the Series 1 charger packs that I was missing (gray chargers w/foil stickers and the "fossil" variants packed in)--though shipping might take a while, I ordered them a week and a half ago and they just shipped yesterday.
Between that and the Pteranodon (#6) set I found in Walmart over the weekend, all I'm missing from Series 1 are the Pachycephalosaur (#8) and Archelon (#21) sets...and nobody seems to have those, not even on eBay. |

Pteranodon is the oddball of the wave, being the only one that matches the styling of wave 3 and 4. Supposedly Pteranodon, Pachycephalosaur, and Archelon were set to be part of Series 1. But for some reason they are being released in Series 2 sparringly. My only guess is that Bandai noticed the issues with the metallic stickers and are biding time until they fix the issue. |

In any case, thanks for the tip. Now I know to actually dig through any Series 2 chargers I find rather than just assuming they won't be there. |
One thing to be on the look out for at TRU is special sales. This past weekend they had two Charger sets for $10.00. You could get ones from any set like that.

For anyone who is looking for new Dino Charge stuff, it looks like Walmart.com got the ammonite and pachy zord back in stock and Toysrus.com has the GRAPHITE AND GOLD RANGER. I ordered all of them, haha. I'm stoked because I haven't seen anything new in my area whatsoever besides one pteracharge zord that I picked up from a Walmart.

I am digging the upcoming (and likely have been released somewhere) villain figures and hope more come out, but I am also hesitant to act upon any of them (aside from Fury and the Vivix which I have) because I don't know whether an all-villain six pack will ever be released. We have the numbers for it, but would they really do anything of the sort? Would they include a Ranger or two to make it marketable? Many such packs come with an exclusive weapon accessory, but would anything of the sort qualify here? The only one I want to immediately pounce on is the little Vivizord as it really wouldn't matter if you got two of those (because of army-building and the like).
P.S.: An exclusive Poisandra or a color-accurate Sledge would make an all-villain six pack justifiable. |
Question! Do the Dino Charge Morphed and saber combine like in the show?

Toys R Us's website now acknowledges that the Pachy and Ammonite Zords exist, so hopefully this was a case of slow distribution and soon these guys will be more commonly found in the wild
Pachy Zord Ammonite Zord Also I finally cracked open the 27 Dino Charger set from TRU and posted my findings & opinions in this thread. |
Yes! I will be ordering these so I can get all DC Zords and the Ammonite...
Well, anyone who knows me knows why I have a hankering for it. |
I just found Aqua, Purple, and Super Charge T Rex Red ranger at Target! Now I just need to find the Dino Steel figures and Snide...
|

He's gonna need some serious work in the paint department when I find one.

Titano Charge MegaZord is listed on Amazon for $34.99. Just ordered mine. Glad I was able to snatch one up!

Titano Charge Megazord came in and I really like it. Haven't had a chance to paint it up yet (all the other zords have some custom paint apps), but I did make a small mod. By folding up a tiny piece of paper a few times and wedging it under the little flip down canon, it's held up even when the charger is in the mouth of the staff. Might not be 100% accurate that way, but I like that more than having one charger just sitting out on its own when every other one is in its respective zord.
|
I agree with you on the charger. That's probably my biggest gripe with the whole thing. I could have done without the cannon and just had a place to hide the charger. Oh well. I can't wait to see what it looks like when you paint it.
|
Finally got a Titano myself. I like how big he is when he folds out into dino mode. Just a shame he wasn't a tad larger to accommodate the chargers instead of smaller, molded bits. I would have preferred that to trying to shoehorn him into the current retail model and packing him with a repaint wave mate.
Makes me wonder what they'll do for Lion-Haoh next year. They'll probably shrink him down to the $35 mark and have a molded-on, unpainted Shurikenjin on his back. |

P.S.: "Ninja Steel Megazord" only theoretical and based on established Dino Charge naming scheme. |
So, what are the chances of us getting a premium final combo box set for Dino Super Charge? I kind of want to get the Dino Charge megazord as a stand in for Kyoryuzin but it really bothers me that the sword isn't painted (I'd like to have the shield too but I can live without it). I just don't want to buy everyone separately for the final combo for them to put out a set with everyone together along with better paint aps.
|
So are the Super Drive figures just incredibly hard to find or am I just an idiot?
