Well, yeah, that. But Ninja Storm 2 was what I was thinking when Ninninger gets a Power Rangers adaptation in 2019 after ToQger's PR adaptation.

My hope is that their mechs form out of throwing stars.

I like the designs. Very cool. Maybe the mecha will all be turtle shaped, so that they can each have their own weapons with bandanas on the faces. That would make cross marketing when it gets turned into a Saban show real easy.

Love most of what I have seen so far. My only real hang up is the pink trim on the white ranger. I get the reason and there is precedent, but now all I can hope is that pink and white are always on opposite ends of the role call line. Otherwise my eyes start playing tricks on me. I wish the trim on white was silver like it is on everyone else, especially since the top point of her visor is silver like the others.

Overall, I love what I see so far. Ninjas were always my favorite theme, up until the Pirates came around but I digress. I can't wait to see the mecha and weaponry now.

Wow. These look like they could be descendants of Hurricanger with how the costumes look. The helmets are a pretty cool idea with the throwing star motif going.

And Pink and White female Rangers? That's new as a combo to me. Usually Pink IS White or vice versa, not separate Rangers.

Are the zords going to be giant shruiken that can be thrown by each other's zords maybe to pierce the monsters when they fight them?

It's been done before (Changeman and - ugh - Magiranger leap to mind), but it's pretty rare.

I'm going to say 10. The main five mecha gattai, a mech that acts like a shuriken pouch and 4 aux mecha that are shuriken shaped.

I just hope the 6th ranger is not gold or silver. I'm so sick of those two colors always being used for 6th rangers and it been like that since Gaoranger in 2001.

True. If they are gonna go metallic again why not bronze? It is time that color is redeemed and not be "that color henshin heroes don to burn to a crisp in the Earth's atmosphere".

Purple could work for a ninja. Or possibly even black. Been a while since we've had a black Sixth.

Techniquly Jungle Fury Rhino is a 6th ranger. And he is white. So...also the 6th ranger for SPD was white and blue. No silver on him really. And Doggie was navy and black. Also for um, Toqger now he is orange. Yay orange. So yes, most seasons do have those kind of 6th ranger. But not all. Also Dino Thunder was another white "6th". And I can't believe the other ninja series, Ninja Storm and Hurrikenger. Green 6th ranger.

I know a few shows had a 6th ranger with a different color but most 6th rangers after 2001 have been gold and silver. Gekiranger has no 6th ranger since Toei never made GekiChopper as a 6th ranger. He is not on Gokai Silver's Cellular.

Anyway, Gold and Silver aren't super common and consistent, but appear just often enough to be grating (7 of the 13 series following Gao feature a Silver or Gold ranger)

Hopefully we'll get a different colored sixth again like we did with ToQger. It would be pretty cool if we got a King Ranger/Gold Ranger scheme with the theme being ninjas.

I really want a full-time violet sixth ranger. It will be a guy and I think they could use a nice, deep, dark purple color and with gold, black, and white accents, it could look really badass.

Plus, he'd be a ninja...so that makes him badass automatically.

For the time being I have yet to track a secondary, and therefor corroborating, source for this info yet. But with that out of the way I stumbled across a JP blog site that had a proposed (as in apply some degree of salt) list of the initial DX mecha offerings:

DX Shurikenjin (main mech)
DX Paonmaru (Paon meaning peacock, though it also resembles a word for the sound an elephant makes)
DX UFOmaru (spaceship ninjas? I'm down)

Again these are as of yet unconfirmed but I have seen these being generally believed and discussed in a few places. Still awaiting proper secondary confirmation.

Have we ever had an actual peacock zord? The one from Gaoranger doesn't count.
Would be neat if that rumor was true.

A peacock... Ah. Ah, I think I see what they're going for. The tailfeathers would probably turn into a fan-type weapon. Clever.

A shuriken UFO? That sounds pretty cool and kind of makes sense. In a Super Sentai kind of weird way.
