I know that I'm probably stretching this but boy does the music jingle reallllly remind me of the Arrow theme when the titles appear.

According to dai4, the Gan Gun Hand is coming out on 11/10. Which is not unexpected, but at least now it's official.

Tut and the Cobra will probably also come out then...

Everything looks pretty damn good. Glad that Billy's Eyecon is brown as opposed to orange like in the original scan. All the Eyecons just look good, can't wait to buy those...

GC04...Robin face just looks weird. Billy Damashii looks surprisingly good, though. Big ol sleeves are kinda silly, but not much more than usual. Looks good. Not sure if I'm gonna get this...Robin just doesn't impress. Do still kinda want his ghost though...probably gonna hunt this set down in the aftermarket.

Now if HLJ would just put up the preorders...

I got really bored yesterday and made up a button chart for the Ghost Driver sounds. Nothing groundbreaking, but if anyone wanted to hear some of the sounds for themselves, and didn't want to go through the effort to find them... Here you go.

Spoilers obviously for anyone who doesn't want to know any future forms quite yet.

Few things I noticed are some multiple form name combos, and a "Kaigan! Spectre" that was followed by both Ghost's and Spectre's transformation jingles. One of the blank sounds doesn't cycle LED colors, and remains orange through all of the attack sounds. I speculate it could be the final form.
Also Darwin's jingle sounds really garbled and quiet compared to everything else in the belt.

I want to know if you say, transform using the Specter Eyecon and then switch to Edision, if it plays Specter's jingle beforehand instead of Ghost's. Has anybody tried that? Or does Edison just ALWAYS have Ghost's jingle regardless?

It just plays the Ghost jingle. It doesn't appear to be as smart as the Drive Driver.

Dai4 has put up listings for sets 8 and 9 of the Gashapon series, and apparently they both include Legend Rider Eyecons. No telling how many or which, but...some. I guess.

Would be cool if they all were Legend Riders, but who knows.

Woah those gashapon sets are expensive.

Pay the prices no heed, this website has really inflated prices for some reason. It should be less than 3000 yen when it goes up on other stores.

Preordered them too. Anybody remember? Does HLJ charge when individual items come in stock or when all items in the order come in stock?

HLJ requests payment as items come in stock. To my knowledge only Amiami waits until all items are available to ask for payment.

Well okay. So I don't have to worry too much then. Think I can at least cover Tut's Eyecon XD

Huh. When you search for "recently added" items under the series title on HLJ, it still hasn't been updated with the newest additions. I had to go through and find them all individually by whatever random "relevance" order it puts them in by default. Ah well.

Got all of the Eyecons and Gadgets.

Hm. Weird. GC04 is 100 yen more expensive than GC02 and GC05. That's weird. I...guess it's because both Robin and Billy have substantive arms while Musashi and especially Tut are lacking in that regard? Maybe.

Thinking about the Gashapon sets...I figure 8 has Houdini and 9 has Grimm and Sanzo. Which would more or less mean 8 has to have Agito. The red one in 9 is harder to place due to the fact that half the Heisei Riders are red...I'm hoping for Ryuki or Kuuga, but it'd be funny if it was OOO.

DX Kamehameha Eyecon is going on sale on December 19 at Toei Hero World.

Oddly, the part on the bottom with the pins is...red? Weird.

edit: akkinews is saying set 8 has Gaim and set 9 has OOO. I have no idea where they're getting this information. Wouldn't complain if it's true though...want that Gaim.

Oh wow, I was joking about set 9 having OOO because of the colours but oooh hope it's true.

I missed out on some of the HLJ orders but thinking I might just pick it up when I'm in japan in a few days :D Hope the packaging isn't too awkward.

I'm a bit overwhelmed by the Legendary Eyecon stuff, so probably not going to bother figuring out whose where and what's what. I'll be collecting anything of that is Ghost centric like Santa, Special, and Kamehameha. So far I have Special secured.. so it'll be "fun" hunting down the other two on YJ later.. lol.

I'm pretty much resigned to the fact that I want allllll the Eyecons, including the Legend Rider stuff. Bit of a pain, but oh well. Really hope they put out a Ryuki and Blade early on.

I haven't preordered Special yet. I should really get to it soon...

Is Ghost's toyline that popular? I'm feeling very casual about it all in comparison to Gaim and Drive (though drive kinda died down ALOT)

Special won't be too hard to find, special editions of CDs aren't all that hard to get even after release. I think the biggest challenge would be getting Santa at a non extortionate price.

I'm actually really loving the Ganbarizing cards that came with the Ghost Driver and the Robin Eyecon. Where are the rest, though? How do I find more of these?

For those who have eyecons does the stickers peel at all or not want to buy some but I not sure?

I think they come with those wafer things...they're up on HLJ. Doesn't look like they sell these by themselves :/

There's no peeling that I've noticed, toku stuff is usually pretty good about that, but I have noticed a couple that have minimal buckling and aren't centered perfectly. It's not too big of a deal, but it's something to note.

The contents of SG Eyecon set 2 have finally been revealed.

Nothing surprising. Robin, Specter and Tut.

Does tell me that I shouldn't pay much heed to the colors in the preview pictures though...Specter's was shown as orange in the previews. Probably explains why there's a green one in set 3, which should only have the rest of the first quarter ones.

I know everyone has mentioned the visual differences between candy, gasha and dx eyecons, but has anyone mentioned the mechanical differences? I bought a case of candy eyecons and they definitely have a rougher and harder press than the dx ore eyecon. I took both apart, and the candy eyecon uses cheaper plastic and a simpler mechanism, which I'm assuming is the cause.

How different is the casing? I heard one of the opinions for Robin actually says "Robin Hood" and also has a somewhat shiny sticker. I was considering if you would be able to gut everything and just swap the green back/top section between the two.

I assume that's probably not possible, but I still wonder.

I think I saw a preview picture of a YouTube video with a DX Ore with a chrome eye...didn't actually see the video though, so I am unsure...

What I'm really wondering about though, is the difference between the SG and Gashapon versions. They look identical for the most part, but I don't know if the plastic quality and internal mechanism is the same.

Anyway, ordered sets 8 and 9 of the Gashapons. HLJ had them at 1920 a set, which is a price I am very comfortable with.

Since 8 most likely has Houdinis though, I'm really considering just skipping on the DX Machine Hoodie or waiting for the Eyecon to pop up on the aftermarket alone...

I don't have DX versions other than the ore eyecon but as far as I can tell, the casing are all identical mold wise. It's three separate pieces (outer clear lens, white eye half and colored back half) so you don't have to worry about having stickers rip or anything swapping them. You can't however, swap the internals. The rotating part in the middle has a larger peg size on the candy toy than the DX, so you can fit the candy toy mechanisms with the DX rotating piece but not vice versa.

The switch mechanisms share the same concept, but the DX one (in black) is a bit more complex while the candy one seems to be a simplified version. Plastic quality is different too

I had an idea that would solve the issue with the number of horns. If the designers designed Ghost and Specter's transient forms to have the horns already, then they could swap Eyecons as much as they want and the toys would be accurate.

But there wouldn't be any way for the masks to fit both of them in that case.

Speaking of this though. I'm wondering if any Eyecons Specter steals would change appearance when he uses them (blue iris, two horns, slim chin). If so, I wonder if they'll release like, a "Edison Ghost Eyecon (Specter Ver.)" as a Gashapon or something...

The Cobra Mobile has compatibility with the Gan Gun Saber. It makes it light up blue and its finisher says Omega Crash. Ghost Tutankhamun Damashii?

I'm kinda thinking that maybe the Cobra just shares its pegs with the Spider. Crash sounds like it'd fit the hammer...Ghost Tut would be cool, though. It's bull that the Saber can use the Cobra but apparently the Hand can't use anything else, though.

But the Daikaigan makes a hissing/cellphone sound. I really do hope there's at least one more Specter gadget, though...
