My aunts sent me out for ink on Wednesday. Came home with Zero Suit Samus. Got the NFC reader at my local Gamestop. I was lucky since it was the only one they got in for some reason :lol.

The spoils of my journey today. For some reason, at a TRU, amongst shelves of commons was this Samus Amiibo. She isn't a reissue, she has the old back. Needless to say, I grabbed her. Also went to the Japanese market and picked up the two boxes of clay and a tie.

So what's special about Japanese clay? Easier to paint?

I don't know, I just picked it up to practice XD

I was really disappointed by the announcement too, but at $140 less... Worth it.

I've been pretty in the dark about the US Masterpiece line and was half hoping that it would but, to be honest, I don't think it would ever really be displayed with the coronation gear. I was surpised by the amount of differences between it and the first MP seeker mold.

NY's original price was 25680 yen, though I don't know if they've raised it after their stock came in.

The original TWE price was 24840.

I got this in on Saturday. one step closer to all the dx trains.

I went to Salt Lake Comic Con over the weekend and picked up a few goodies.

I looked long and hard but couldn't find any Star Wars Figuarts (I wanted a 2nd Stormtrooper, but oh well), and while I did find Injustice Superman and Joker, I just didn't feel like spending $50+ on them (and now Den-O is hooking me up with Supes, anyway).

But I did buy the hammer of Thrall the Warchieftain, it's pretty much 1:1 scale.

This was the last one of these they had, I paid too much for it, it's too small, and now I think I don't like it quite as much as I thought I did, so it might be hitting eBay in the near future.

It is great. It's resin, so it's not too heavy to carry around and swing at people, but it's hefty enough that I'd probably get into a lot of trouble if I actually hit anybody with it.
And it's got some nice 'leftover blood splatter' paint on it. :)
