I would like the secondary rider be a hero rider also. Someone who is a friend of the main rider, but has a different motivation. I like how Birth was in OOO and another rider similar to that would be cool. I'm getting sick of the whole secondary rider being a rival and anti-hero then becoming good and friends with the main rider later on.

But the question is what type of Secondary Rider will be?

Since our Main Rider is apparently ambulance rider, What is your idea of Secondary Rider's theme?

I wonder what the collectable gimmick for this year is gonna be...band-aids? syringes? medication pills?

Are you guys hoping for a lot of riders in this show or would you like another 2-3 rider show like Ghost or Drive? I personally would like another multi-rider show like Gaim or Ryuki.

I don't think we need another huge cast this soon after. I'm fine with the 2-3 Riders a year we have going right now. More is always nice, but hard to work with without a good writing staff and it tends to tax the show's budget.

I would like a larger Rider cast. But not as big as Ryuki or Gaim. Maybe 4-5 Riders. But no more than 5. You can make it work just fine that way.

Well we really don't know anything about the premise at this point. We've only got the name to speculate with. If they go the medical route, SHAPE wise, I think pills could work... although I think getting kids interested in pills and syringes might send a bad message. If they go the "rescue" route, it's such an expansive theme that the collectibles could quite literally be anything. Badges come to mind though.

Knowing Kamen Rider, they'll probably find a way to surprise me either way.

I like the idea of badges. But the idea that comes to mind with those can also get applied to pills. For the pill the image of the Birth Driver comes to mind. But instead of the capsule opening vertically, it opens horizontally. As for the badge it opens in the same sense, revealing whatever symbol in on the inside.

I am really enjoying the Three Rider format of Drive and Ghost lately. Maybe something like 4 or 5 riders would be fine.

I wouldn't mind an EMT, Fire Fighter, and Police Rider trio though.

I'm still hoping for something GoGoV and Tomica Hero Rescue. All kinds of rescues the hero can perform.

A medical theme could be cool, but then again, a ghost themed show sounded cool to and look how that train wreck turned out.

All due to writing. My friend is utterly in love with Ghost. I stopped watching, been wanting to pick it up again, because of work and work.

Ghost is another Rider series where it's like...It's perfectly good and has some great character arcs, but people's standards are way too high for it to actually mean much imo.

Ex-Aid can be exactly that again, like any other series. Ghost, Drive, Fourze, etc.

It's not about one's standards, but the quality of the show itself.
It's like Wizard. Wizard had a decent set of main characters, nice villains, and an alright plot, but they didn't handle it properly and paced themselves poorly.
My standards weren't too high for Wizard, they just didn't have the chops to take the good they already had and properly utilize it.

The same can be said of Ghost.
Just because individual elements of a show are good doesn't mean the show is inherently good itself when it's all combined. It's not a matter of standards and more a matter of taste and patience.

I knew having Ultraman writer to be head-writer of Ghost was a bad idea! Thank god Takuro Fukuda won't writing Ex-Aid because so he wouldn't get burned out from writing stuff!

I heard Riku Sanjo will take break from Kamen Rider or even Super Sentai so he can work on his new manga. I doubt Yasuko Kobayashi will be writing Ex-Aid due of her working on Amazons

I don't trust Toshiki Inoue mainly he's NOT a Kamen Rider-type. I wonder why he hasn't work on Super Sentai?

Or your standards are way too low. Ghost wasn't even a watchable show. It was a rushed mess with CGI that makes the CG in W look masterful. Not to mention an unlikable cast that were all on speed and editing that felt like it was done by a first grader with ADD.

Nothing wrong with Ultraman writers; there's plenty of talent there. This is Fukuda's first head writing experience, though, and that can always be a challenge. Honestly, I think there are some good ideas in Ghost, but it's mostly the execution that's lacking, and part of that is a subpar cast and Toei's insistence on adding stupid comic relief.

I have absolutely no idea what version of Ghost you're talking about, cause that's sure as hell not the one I'm watching. But I suppose that's neither here nor there.

The Ghost I saw was full of over acting cast members and had one unbearably annoying woman who sees freaking ghosts in front of her but refuses to believe they exist.

Uh... how many episodes have you watched? It can't be more than 4 or 5, cause that "unbearably annoying woman" pretty quickly accepts that Ghosts are real. It's a very obvious part of her arc, from skeptic to believer. (More and more I feel like fans don't realize that characters have arcs -- they seem to want them to be fully formed and perfect immediately. It's really weird.)

The show starts out kind of mediocre, but quickly gets better after around episode 12. I literally have no idea where all the hate is coming from (aside from the "hardcore fans that are impossible to please" demographic).

Also, if you're gonna criticize Ghost for overacting... you have to do that for sacred cows like Gaim, too (those performances are not exactly subtle). Every Kamen Rider show ever has an element of overacting. Ghost's acting quality is no more or less over the top than like, Ryuki, for example.

I got up to Ghost around episode 9 before I drop it. Personally I feel like that I could not finish anymore. I found the show to be worst than Drive. I hope the new show could hook me back into Kamen Rider, but I doubt it.

There is a bit of a difference between having an arc and being an entertaining character.

A lot of the KRC in Fourze had their own arcs, but they were still decent characters on introduction, too.
For the first 5 episodes of Ghost (Having dropped it at episode 6), Akari was pretty grating and annoying to deal with because they hammered in her "SCIENCE IS SCIENCING SCIENCE!" every time she opened her mouth, which led to a lot of eye rolling scenes, despite being the most handy member of the team at that point.

So here is a thought.
What if the kaijins for the show are people who are infected and wreaking havoc against their own will?
And it is Ex-Aid's job to cure these people from it.
I think it will work well with the whole medical theme.

TBH, I rather want kaijins to be people who are infected by virus villains than demons from GoGoV

I don't want Ex-Aid to be rehash from GoGoV! You can do a medical/rescue theme but don't copy GoGoV element.

Or what if some scientist of old age gives his completed belt to someone who can carry out his dream.

Someone who has the heart of a "rescue hero". Someone who is like Black Jack.

It seems the forms in Ex-Aids series is called "Shape"

Burn, Storm, and Rain Shape? Hmm....based from elemental (Fire, Wind, and Water)...

And....it seems the Burn, Storm, and Rain also based to various natural disasters

Maybe the Ex-Aid's fourth Shape is Earthquake (earth elemental)

Collectable toys based from virus....it make sense since Ex-Aid has health as one of main theme

If Ex-Aid based from Paramedic, I think Ex-Fighter based from Firefighter...
