I actually just snagged shinken red's US release. Not bad but the Daizantou needs it's launcher mode. Oh well. As for Gosei Knight being Roboknight, I just ignore that and thank the lord that they still kept the toy as a transforming header.

I think only Knight had a SHF release.
The Gokaigers had a full release, though.

that sucks, after playing around with the 4" megaforce red, I would love to have a better articulated and more weapons gosei red :p

The hope is that if Megaforce is wildly popular we may get the Goseigers in Figuart form.

Justify how? They can either skip it in the show, or just change the footage a little. Wouldn't be all that hard.

Also confused why they took out Gosei Knight and replaced it with Robo. They kept the names of everything else. Gosei, Gosei Great, and on and on. But that they change. What the French Toast.

No characterization, no interaction with the others, no character arcs. He just stood around the base sometimes, and fought.
He was practically a non-character.

I just want to see if they'll try to make RoboKnight a jerk before making him redeemable or if he'll be chummy with the Rangers from the get go.

has any zord footage ever been edited before? even if they keep datas hyper zord on megaforce, they could just squeeze his debut and hyper goseigreat megazord in one episode, they do this stuff all the time.

I hate to say it but yeah, Saban/Disney has never altered footage (big mistake IMHO) and they're either gonna have to do all the CGI/Costume megazord combinations from scratch or figure out how to explain the HUGE inaccuracy of no Datas in show but still there in combo scene. He's just too big a piece unlike the other things like the location of the tiger drills moving from the chest to the legs in PR Samurai.

I did like the Tiger Drills on the legs, never liked Tiger Moobs on the Samurai Mega. But changing this won't be so hard. How many times did he change, really? Saban'll handle it. -headdesks-

Yeah, they've done a lot of editing of the zord footage in the past, especially in season 2 when they had to combine footage from Dairanger, Zyuranger, and Zyu2. There was a whole lot of splicing and pasting in those episodes.

Besides, they literally just have to not show Datas's backflip.
After he combines, there is almost no footage of Hyper Gosei Great from behind. Just cut the flip, edit the cycles in, and then show the combination as normal.

Also season 3. Kaukranger's Mecha never had an ultimate combination with Titanus.

Has anyone in this thread even wondered about how we're going to see ranger keys in Megaforce season 2? Or how they'll explain the (hopefully) Gokaiger suits?

My current guess Gokai Silver for both accounts, and the Gokaiger suits will be his previous crew who he's either been split from or we see in flashback.

The keys wont be used. The images we saw in the one cast photo were to large and most likely statues of previous rangers. They already said they're keeping the Goseiger suits for the entire series, they won't change from the Tensouder. They'll just use cards. Which makes sense when you consider alot of the japanese footage isn't useable over here. American Audiances, for the most part, don't know who Bioman or Liveman are. And they did use alot of ranger sets that never made it over. We'll see more of the original suits, Zeo, onward, than were used in Gokaiger.

So this idea about Megaforce having keys isn't going to happen. I'm sorry, it's just not.

I trust FuryDiamond's info. He's rarely wrong about these sort of things, so its far too early to write off keys altogther. Whether they'll play as big a part in Super Megaforce as they did in Gokaiger is yet to be seen (I'm guessing no, because I called ranger cards months ago and will continue to back it), but I can see them putting them in there somewhere.

I don't see him using one either. But the main team will not use keys, it makes no sense for them to do it. Not when, like you said yourself, they have cards to back. Look at all the footage they can't use if they switch to the Gokai-suits and use the keys. All those Sentai teams that never made it over here. Just not going to happen.
