Because she didn't do anything in Uprising, it's like putting Zordon in a fighting game it doesn't make much sense.

And Captain Falcon doesn't actually punch people into oblivion, and Peach's ultimate attack is crying like a bitch.
Sometimes people just want their favorite characters in the game.

I've never really played anything in the Kid Icarus series except for the original game so I'm mostly indifferent to Palutena's inclusion, but I think it's a good thing she's in because I know she's popular. Personally I'm just hoping to see Shulk from Xenoblade make it in and then I'll be happy.

The Wii Fit Trainer, and the Villager don't make much sense either, at least Palutena has power.

Not that I care about her inclusion either way, but both of those are better choices than Palutena. The more franchises represented, the better.

I find it weird that i'm against it and i'm a fanboy for uprising, i feel like they're are better characters that they could have included, hell they technically have 2 characters already because Dark pit's just a pallete swap.

So is anyone else looking forward to the tournament later today. I think its gonna be pretty cool to see the game in action before its out. Also i have a sneaking suspicion they are gonna leak something there, that could just be me though.

Palutena was leaked literally months ago so there's nothing exciting there honestly. I don't think Kid Icarus deserves as many representations as Metroid, but Sakurai, whatever. I'm in the "Ridley should've been a character back in Melee and is insane they still refuse to put him in" camp.

Mii looks a lot more interesting then I thought he'd be, but still I found Nintendo's entire presentation to be really dull. "2 new Smash Bros characters, 1 of which was obvious and 1 of which was leaked ages ago", "Zelda accompanied by little information", "Mario Maker", "You know that god awful mini-game from SM3DW? Now its a FULL GAME!", "Yarn Yoshi is still a thing and it does absolutely nothing new from the panned Yoshi's New Island beyond aesthetics!", "Bayonetta 2 which we've known about for years", "New niche Multiplayer game". Combined with the Mario Kart 8 DLC leak that was awesome being confirmed fake the whole thing was very disappointing, honestly.

and Pac-Man has joined the roster, apparently.

Just to further emphasize why Nintendo's conference was absolutely horrible (since most things were saved for afterwards or not in videos at all, like the stupid round table going on):

Now, I'm actually SUPER STOKED for this. I think Pac-Man will work great. But doing the reveal in a private meeting just pissed me off. Nintendo did not handle their reveals [in general, for all games] well this year.

Yeah, Pac-Man is confirmed. Game and Watch is also returning.

Sadly, this 100% confirms that horrible leak that included "Chorus Kids'...

See, I have no idea what this leak is. So all of the people bitching about Palutena's reveal not being excited because they knew... I don't understand. I didn't know at all. So care to share that?

The leak was Little Mac, Megaman, Mii Fighter, Villager, Wii Fit Trainer, Palutena, Shulk, Chrom, Chorus Kids and "A new Pokemon from X and Y" (turned out to be Greninja). Also that Lucas is considering to be cut.

Additionally, an image of Palutena surfaced shortly before the Kid Icarus level was shown, which featured her in her new outfit. It was pretty much confirmed to be real once the Kid Icarus level was revealed which had the new outfit featured in the image on a statue.

Is this post real?

Yes. The Round table is currently happening. Pac-Man is confirmed so we can safely say the Gematsu leak was real.

See, because it was a leak... I don't care. To some, "nothing was new here" because of it and for whatever reason that makes the Smash reveals bad. But it was all new to me and probably a great many people. And an official word than an unconfirmed rumor is still better than nothing.

Now, I had to go look up the Chorus Kids. And that seems out there and I won't be a fan if it's true. But no, it's still not confirmed.

I have no idea who Shulk or Chorus Kids are... Anyway, Mii Fighters can't be used online unless its against friends.

That seems totally unnecessary.

Shulk is the main character of Xenoblade, a game i never played but my brother loves it.

So (bolded confirmed) the leak was Mii Fighter, Palutena, Pac-Man, Megaman, Villager, Little Mac, Chrom, Greninja, Chorus Kids, Shulk.

But Rosalina was not part of the leak, so there's still hope for more newbies. Although sadly I think Ridley isn't going to happen because for whatever reason Nintendo hates doing what people request.

The roster in this game feels like a rollercoaster, the characters i like, i think they're amazing but characters i dislike i'm really annoyed by.

While I don't think the roster is fantastic and I'm saddened by my favourite (Ivysaur) getting cut so they can cater to the 10-Year Olds that love Charizard, I don't think the character roster is AWFUL.

Its certainly not Mario Kart 8, that had the most embarrassing and least interesting roster ever.

I miss Ivysaur. That was the best one from Pokemon trainer.

Kind of sucks that the other two Pokemon Trainer's Pokemon aren't returning, though I guess a lot would complain if Pokemon got 6 or 7 (Depending on whether or not Jigglypuff returns) representatives...I'd still like Ivysaur (And Squirtle) to return, though...

I'm a fan of the current roster, really. Despite no Ridley and Jigglypuff not possibly returning, I like who we have.

So the round table is over. Interesting tidbits are:

-Someone asked about Ice Climbers and was ignored
-Mii Fighters are Friend Online only
-Seperate release dates for Wii U and 3DS is so they can "debug" both (lol suuuuuure)
-New Jet-Pack Item
-Game and Watch returns
-Pacman Newcomer

Having Ivysaur for Smash and Birdo for Mario Kart cut back-to-back was more then my fragile heart could handle. The pain of not liking the same characters that are splashed in every single game is great.

I'm glad Mr. Game & Watch is coming back. He was my 2nd main~
