Man, there is so much good in this catalog. Forms are all creativity, love that Decade gets proper respect, and I love the Ridewatches and Weapons.

The only thing that bugs me is that Gates is looking to be another Specter. So far, no bike, and only gets Ghost, Drive, Kiva, Genm and Faiz. Compared to 16 other riders, he's getting the short end of the stick. Hopefully things will change in the future though (like how Specter did get a bike in the form of Houdini).

Also, I really expected the RKF figures to be Vinyls, but it looks like they're posable figures. Can't believe we're getting a posable Evol and Cross-Z figures (as well as the worst movie form ever IMO).


EDIT: Also, something really fun I just noticed, Zi-O's coloring looks to be pretty inspired by Decade. All of his equipment is in the Grey/Silver/Black/Pink coloration, and his base form's colors look a lot like Decade's Complete form's colors.

So based on a purely visual inspection of the listings, the form distribution for the main riders will be:

Zi-O
Build, Ex-Aid, Den-O, Blade, Kiva, OOO, Fourze, Kabuto, Hibiki, Double, Agito, Kuuga, Gaim, and Decade

Gates
Ghost, Drive, Faiz, Wizard, and possibly Ryuki (its really hard to tell with all the silver on it.)

Normally I'd say that's unfair, but if the rumored synopsis is to be believed and Gates really is coming from the future to seek Zi-O and help them fix the time line, then this 3:1 ratio would kinda work for a newbie who's learning how to fight vs an experienced rider who only needs a few form changes to beat the MoTW, either that or Gates is a really chill guy who doesn't mind giving Zi-O the Rider Watches he collects on his own.

Speaking of Zi-O vs Gates, it seems from one of the images the forms will be different between the two riders, Zi-O with build is more white/silver, Gates with build is more black.

Also love Gates' weapon going "You, me!" and "Oh no!" for it's Yumi and Ono modes.

So Zi-O has a Megazord?

You know, every year the first round of toy stuff comes out for Rider and Sentai, I try to wait for the show even if it looks cool. This is going to be rather hard to do with this stuff, it looks that good.

Am u the only one that gets a Bugle Visor vibe off the shape of the Driver when it has the Decade piece attached to it? Lol!!

Neat that the last Rider to do this gets a special version of the gimmick all to himself.

Ryuki is Z-O, not Gates. Everything else is correct, though.

I want to get hyped about the Time Majin, but Kamen Rider has always had a budget problem, and stuff like that tends to get the shaft in show.

I don't really get the gimmick for Rider Kicks. Is it usable by both Zi-O and Gates? Because I'd be down for purchasing everything but having only Zi-O use the gimmick.

Does anyone know if it works that way?

I love that Rider stuff keeps me interested and, to me at least, is still visually appealing and awesome looking. My wallet on the other hand...I could use another Kamen Rider Ghost honestly. I did not buy into that toyline AT ALL.

Yes, the Build, Ghost and Ex-Aid armors are reversible and are usable by both Riders. The Fourze and OOO armors don't specify that they're usable by both, but they're designed for Zi-O in the first place.

Structurally, it looks a lot like the Rider Kicks figures will become statues when the Armor Time suits are attached. I've picked up a couple of Rider retail figures after missing out on Gaim, and so far, I've been pretty disappointed with how the gimmicks impact articulation. Not sure I'll go in on these.

He has a giant mech suit. I see nothing wrong with this, I am all for this. Only real letdown is his gun doesn't look more like the TimeRobo's sword from Timeranger lol But hey, I love Timepiece rider to death so far.

If you're looking post-gaim, Drive's Tire Koukan series was damn excellent. You can find everything for cheap on Amazon too aside from Type: Formula, Protodrive and the Ride Boosters.

Now, THIS is actually shaping up to be a darn cool toy line. The gimmick is meta as heck and the items look really well designed as well. Now, I really need to get caught up with all the previous Rider series...

I still wonder how these are "reversible."

"Reversible" is less likely than it's just got unique parts for both Zi-O and Gates. From the illustrations we've seen so far, it looks like the basic Armor Time can nearly stand up as its own figure. We've also only seen these (the figures, not the suits) from head-on. I'm wondering if the side B is essentially a different front-half. Maybe it splits in half, then clips onto the front of Zi-O or Gates. I'm convinced it'll split apart in one way or another. However, if that's the case, then I'm not sure how they're doing Build, since the shoulderpads appear to be in the same orientation on both Riders.

Probably much like the Gamers and Level 1 forms in the Ex-Aid retail lines, these will only look good from the front. (I would love to be wrong about that.)

I must be a little slow on the uptake, since it just occurred to me that it's likely they went with Type Tridoron rather than Type Speed for Drive so they wouldn't have to replicate the tire-sash.

Earlier, I was having a little trouble telling which Armor Time was for which Rider. I just noticed that the visor colors stay consistent: yellow for Gates, pink for Zi-O. That makes the Decade upgrade pretty interesting: that design retains the green eyes, whereas even the Gaim Armor Time moves the visor to the chest. (Also, I do not love the Gaim armor. The visor on the chest feels lazy.)

I actually really like the Gaim armour -- in general it feels cleaner than the rest, but beyond that the helmet being on the chest reminds me of certain Legend Rider Arms, especially 1 Arms. It's very fitting.

This is just a guess from a girl who barely knows better, but I think the Gaim form as Gaim's face on his chest as a homage to the legend armor from Gaim. ... And I am okay with this.

isn't gaim arms actually a thing? granted, kamen rider fifteen is the only known armored rider to have utilized it but theoretically, gaim should be able to do the same. which means zio is essentially donning an armor of a rider who also happens to wear an armor based on his own likeness

all these design reveals have been so insane it's started to mess with my thought process :p

In certain shots of the suits and Ganbarizing models you can see that the armor that the Legend Rider parts are mounted on is always half-black and half-white - white on the front for Zi-O and black on the front for Gates. So I'm sure the toys work mostly by flipping around.

I guess I'm okay with them having chest parts on their backs, but I really, really hope there's a way around it for the helmets. It would suck so bad if all the Armor forms have the other Rider's face on the backs of their heads just because Bandai would rather have streamlined gimmicks than ones that make sense. Even so the way the toys work looks like they'll have the other Rider's watch wristband designs on their backs. Already, just the "half black, half white" thing could screw with the look of some designs.

When we first saw the Ganbarizing leaks with Gates and the Legend forms I was afraid we'd have another Ghost situation where the designs and functionality of the gimmicks would have design cues assigned to certain Riders for no explained reason except Bandai said so - I was pleasantly surprised to see that they keep their personal Ridewatches in the belt while using the Legend ones as opposed to just swapping out and arbitrarily keeping design cues from their base form. So it would be really dumb if they still arbitrarily had parts from the other Rider on them just because of the gimmick figure line that Bandai doesn't even seem to care about that much in the first place.
