Can I ask why the news-post says that “Blades” is the correct romanization of the previously thought “Blaze”? Has there been any confirmation from the press release or toys that this is the case? I know “Blaze” is a bit counter-intuitive, but to my knowledge neither the name “Blades” nor “Blaze” has shown up in English in any official capacity...

I'm pretty sure it's an assumption based on all the other riders' names being directly sword-related, and the fact that Blaze for a water-element rider is pretty daft. Don't think there's any official romanisation yet - though even when we do get some I'd take it with a pinch of salt, Bandai/Toei aren't always super consistent or sensible with such things! (Looking at you, Gord Drive...)

Ah, gotcha. Thanks you!

Blades is definitely a more LOGICAL thematic rider name when we look at stuff like Saber, Espada, Kenzan, Caliber.
However it kinda makes me feel like the Cross-Z situation if this turns out to be true. クローズ Kurouzu... Kuroz? Claws? Clothes? nope Cross-Z yet the Z at the end is pretty much just for for a visual flare it seems. It doesn't seem to fit with the way the name would read with just the Kana. Blades would be a similar case i feel, since i'm fairly certian Blade is often written Bu Re i Do , WHile what we have for the rider is Bu Re i Zu so the D sound would be rather absent. Also Ending theme? Has it seriously been that long since we've gotten one. I know its been a while but i honestly haven't even realized we've been lacking them. Like i could of swarn we had some during Den-O guess i was mistaken though. |

Blades on the other hand is a perfectly acceptable romanization of "Bureizu". I mentioned before that it would have been more convenient to use ヅ (dzu) instead of ズ (zu) but the former is seldom used since there's no auditory distinction between them in Japanese. I speculate that the ending theme is to compensate us for the mysterious lack of one in Lupinranger VS Patranger and maybe to make the Reiwa Rider Era feel more distinguished. |

“Okay, guys, we’re doing sword themes for our names! Show me what you got!” “Saber!” “Espada!” “Kenzan!” “Caliber!” “... Blade? That’s part of a sword, right?” “That’s already taken.” “Okay, then how about, um... Blade...s?” |
It seems some sort of Saber Episode 0 is out or leaked or something and, uh, looks like they're doing a much stronger shared universe in Reiwa!
https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachmen...KtUwAAOseV.png I kiiinda doubt they'll do much more than references though, and don't expect Humagears to be showing up every two seconds despite the world Zero-One set up. It'll probably keep to its very loose continuity |

I'll be real when I say I'm skeptical on how canon this is because this "Episode 0" is 16 minutes long but like, 9 minutes of it is a giant Recap of 01 and a lot of the rest of it seems to be skipping through scenes of like Episode 1 for Saber.
It feels less like an Episode 0 and more like a half episode promo that promotes the new Kamen Rider: Saber. And then promotes that we're entering Zero-One's final arc. |

With the story aspect of Saber I wouldn't be surprised if they treated Zero One as an in universe story. Maybe that about Aruto being Zero-One was some article about some TV show, or maybe a Movie. It'd be a fun way to acknowledge the existence of prior series without needing to worry about contradicting stuff.
As for the bit bout Agito/Kuuga attempting something similar we also had Fourze which tried to set up a shared universe with Showa era only for that idea to aparently be tossed out almost as fast as it was put forth in the series. |

But if they do wanna actually have a shared universe that doesn't just get retconned with "LMAO Zi-O", It can be very easily said that HIDEN and the Humagears are located in a seperate city. Post-Show appearances can just be written down as the Humagear city idea got actually built over the ruins of Daybreak Town. Which ofcourse, will just look like Tokyo. |

Honestly it's a bit of a tangent but I feel "Continuity" is such a boogie man to people. It's like people only think of the Avengers when thinking of a shared world, but then forget that between the 4 Avengers movies there's about 20 movies that can be watched as stand alone stores with minimal connection to each other. Continuity can be established as easily as just putting Futo Tower in a background shot, or having a Ridevendor tucked away in a corner. People who get it go "Heeey I recognize that", people who don't are none the wiser as it's not part of the story. |

after some serious thought; I have decided that I may have been wrong; and I will give saber a chance. I will reserve judgement until the show airs.
