Sorry for my bad information. Didnt mean to make it sound harder than it was. Like I said, it's been awhile. Usually I just torrent the subbed version, which is very easy. should probably finally get a VPN though. All I've ever tormented is Rider, and while we've always assumed Toei didn't care about that, that's no longer the case

even streaming websites aren't affected at all because the uploaders will just end up going to nyaa instead of whichever sub group's website they went to before. fansubbing in of itself is a bit of a gray area as seen in other communities, but no one that has strictly uploaded toku subs has gotten hit with a C&D yet - and it's hard to see why they ever would. no one in the world has the time to give a shit about individuals who are downloading torrents. bigger people than toei can't, never have, or ever will bother. the absolute worst thing that can happen to you is your ISP hits you with a meager fine. |

No More Rider And Ranger Subs from TV Nihon
Toei has sent TV Nihon a Cease And Desist order to end fan subs recently so no more Torrents for these shows.
I soon expect this to be the case for Ultra and the Sheriff franchises soon as well. |
how is this news? did you forget to post this 5 months ago when everyone and their mom cried over it and nothing ended up happening?

TV N is trying to verify the letter from what I read on their page but as a fail safe anything held by Toei has been removed from their torrent areas. They footage have the stuff backed up on their hard drives. Anything non Toei owned is still up.

your point? everyone that was already torrenting to begin with has had to make zero changes in regards to consuming toku. I really don't know what you're trying to say Quote:

Y'know, a simple "yeah we've known for a while" would have done...
|
Well if legit then anything Toei connected will be removed by the other subbers soon if Toei sends them the same letter.
Meaning physical DVDs and Blu Ray sets will be the only way to see these shows. |

It's been 5 months bro. it has literally affected nothing unless you have a massive hard-on for tv nihon. nothing is stopping anyone from uploading torrents and nothing EVER will. we've had zero issues getting subs since then and the only reason the most well-known groups stepped down is because they can't afford to take the risk. look at all the people discussing the episodes every week. they aren't watching it on tv in japan every sunday morning. everyone's watching toku the same way they always have. that's 5 months after the tweets you just read because you live under a rock there is no fucking universe where dvds will be the only way to consume toku lmao...especially when they're collector's items nowadays for the love of god open your eyes |
Chase, I think you fail to see what happening here. They're ignoring you.

And TV-N's included in that. If you know, you know. |
Toei might force them to remove the episodes anyway due to copyright claim. I don't see Toei backing down from that.
Hasbro has been doing that with Power Rangers lately. |

And people are finding ways. |
Old news, but with my internet, torrenting isn't really an option, so might as well be gone.

Thankfully I have friends with better internet than me to help out on that. |
That's why I have my Mylasian sets handy. No Net. I really would rather not tie up 300 Megs on a HD on a computer.
