Ikki's lines in his debut as Kamen Rider Revice somehow manage to be even more absurd than that suit. "[x], the things you've done are unforgivable" is quoted out of context from Ghost Mugen Damashii's climactic fight against Adel's Ganmaizer form, but the lack of personal feelings between Ikki and Olteca makes it sound empty. The following episode was even a lame filler recap, which opens with Sakura spending like a whole minute giving a long exposition about Hiromi to the devil plushie that literally lives in her head and therefore already knows everything she's saying! It's even longer than Akaishi's eulogy to Olteca. Not the kind of writing that inspires much confidence. Then we got the controversial Aguilera redemption arc and I was just totally out of motivation after that.

I've actually been enjoying Revice, though I do see the negativity. There is quite a bit of missed opportunities and maybe a few plot points that could have been done better, but overall, I don't think it's a bad show.

Depending on how it all ends, I'd say it's a toss-up between Saber and Revice on Reiwa's best season (to me at least, I know Saber is somewhat disliked, and I've been putting all this lightly).

Green was the most common color for Primary Riders in the Showa Era, but surprisingly the most we got in Heisei was Double's right half and OOO's legs. I totally think it's time we got a new one in Reiwa.



It was ToQGer for me as well. I was generous enough to watch 9 episodes, but man, the main characters were all so annoying and childish and didn't seem to have any variation in backstory and I thought the imagination concept was handled poorly. Like, how was this written by the same person who wrote Gobusters 2 years earlier, how did that happen? Honestly, it was just an awful experience for me. Other than that, the only Heisei season I haven't watched yet is Gingaman, which I'll be getting to later this year.



I feel like Saber is now firmly in my favorite spot for Reiwa. It was great seeing all those characters once more in Beyond Generations, didn't realize how much I missed them!
