Huh, that Putty Patroller one actually doesn't look bad. At least it doesn't seem to be missing any obvious paint applications like the Rangers, and the swappable hands are a nice touch.

Target is also now carrying the Zords. You can find Triceratops, Sabertooth Tiger, and Pterodactyl cheaper at Target while each zord is the same price as Mastodon and Tyrannosaurus at Walmart.

Why does the Mastodon have slits/groves on its arm-attached side panels when they have no barring on combination with either Tyrannosaurus or Pterodactyl when forming Tank Mode or the Megazord? Hypothesis #1: They're intended for an upcoming Playmates Dragonzord when forming Fighting Mode/Battle Mode configuration. Why do the heads of the Sabertooth Tiger and Triceratops have pointless little holes which accomplish nothing when those same heads act as Megazord feet? Hypothesis #2: They're intended for an upcoming Playmates Titanus for added stability when forming the Ultrazord. |
yeah the pterodactyl comes with mini rangers we can use for a board game.

Yes the holes on Sabertooth Tiger and Triceratops are suspect. Pterodactyl also has grooves on it to fit a Titanus chest piece. I do hope we get both the Dragonzord and Titanus. I'm just concerned about how they'll be released and how much they'll cost. I expect the Dragonzord to be sold in full, but I do hope the tail has a bit of articulation to it. But I fear that it would cost a bit more than $19.99. So to offset the price difference they'll likely include a glossy version of the Green Ranger flip head figure to make it a homage to the original release in 1993/94, and probably will retail for about $29.99. Titanus will be a concern though. It will have to be massive to accommodate the large size. But it can't exactly be sold in pieces. Since this is a release intended for children I'm worried it'll be changed into a playset like they did to the Shurikenger lion mech when adapting it to Ninja Steel. That was awful and ugly and super bulky. It will also likely not be motorized. |
Also, Bruno from MMPRToys YouTube channel discovered that the morpher has a hidden function for the Tigerzord sound. So we may get Playmates versions of the Thunder Megazord and Tigerzord in the near future.

Eh this forum is basically dead. No one is talking about the Ninja Kids controversy (there's not a single thread about it) and engagement here is almost nonexistent.
