If it makes you feel any better, I've said a lot of dumb and embarrassing and even mean things in a lot of places and I've been banned from places i really liked for it, I think thats why I over-reacted. We'll both be better next year, I'm sure. Happy Holidays to you. EDIT: Also just wanna add that i was wrong before in our chat about sentai ending haha, I think i laid out good evidence, but I like to admit when I'm wrong Quote:
I guess my thought is that we had something very similar with Super Sentai, right as its ending we got a few really a-typical series, with odd approaches to continuity, and homage. TV was really rapidly changing then, similar to the way it is now moving towards streaming, and some of the instability is due to Japans economy and world politics as well. I have to wonder if this will have a similar outcome, I think the Heisei era of Rider was fantastic and made all the necessary changes to move forward. Lets hope that this break will lead to a patch of weird cool other stuff for a moment, and then a powerful revival. And maybe this means Gavan: Infinity will be as cool as KR Black lol? Fingers crossed! |
there is a 4rd gavan.
|
is there a mecha on the leaks?

Please don't post 3 times in a row :|
Look at any of your posts right now, look at the very bottom of it, you'll see a button that says EDIT. You are supposed to be using THAT BUTTON To ADD ADDITIONAL STATEMENTS TO YOUR PREVIOUS COMMENT. It is not appropriate to comment 3 times in a row (espescially to repeat the same thing twice). I'm not trying to be mean, just to help. I'm not aware of any 4th Gavan, or any Toy leaks. |
Do yourself a favor and put him on your ignore list. He's a lost cause.
There are toy leaks out there, but they don't really go into much detail about the mechs. |

And according to the leak, the main three are called Gavan Infinity, Gavan Samurai, and Gavan Hikari. Also, yes, there is a whole mecha line. It's a main "warrior" robo, which is the same as the changer gun (like Tegasword), that attaches aux mecha vehicles as weapons. There's also a second "warrior" robo that belongs to Gavan Death. EDIT: There's also evidence of a fifth Gavan debuting in Q1 as well. |

Watch as Gavan Death is such a happy friendly ray of sunshine he'd make Gentaro Kisaragi look gloomy, he just happens to be really into goth fashion

I wonder if Gavan Hikari will be that "white mage" character. I know some people have assumed the suit actor is female. |

1. Someone dealing with a Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde situation 2. Bio Hunter Silva 2.0 3. Run-of-the-mill villain 4. Brooding vigilante 5. This dude https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qolk_rDA9xU |
Uniroinically, a villain based on Judge Death would be unbelievably fucking sick.

it's a shame red gavan will not have a sword.
|
It is kind of surprising to me that they wouldn't make the main Gavan in the traditional Gavan colors, but it's obviously following the Sentai color scheme pattern to an extent.
|
Gavan needs to be louder, angrier and have access to a time machine.

I have to wonder if they are trying to take this basic outline further by creating SSS, starting with Gavan Infinity, and then potentially branching out into sidestories that focus on each character for later seasons?I've always thought a TV franchise that really worked like many comic book universes do would be cool, and to some extent Toku has always been the closest you can get to that, with its blurry wider canon and legacy characters. It would make a lot of sense to pursue that even further right now while the Toku world-stage shifts under everyones feet. |
Shoot, i meant to edit my post to add this, then accidentally replied... Kind of poignant honestly... (Is there a delete button I am missing?)

In hindsight, some of the 90s Metal Heroes, specifically Winspector, Solbrain, Exceedraft (this especially), Blue Swat, B-Fighter, and B-Fighter Kabuto were Sentai-adjacent.
|
For those of you in the U.S. The Original Space Sheriff Gavan TV is now streaming for free on Tubi. (Not in canada, I checked)
And before you ask, no, Sharivan and Shaider were not included. Not sure what the wheelings and dealings behind this are, but it seems like they are priming folks to watch Gavan Infinity. |

Nah, we have Shaider blurays via Discotek. If there's any reason why Shaider isn't on streaming its probably just weirdness from Toei, or that they prioritized Gavan.

New 15 second teaser from the Twitter account: https://x.com/ProjectRED_Toei/status...44554839585128
Possibly hinting at the Robot(?)'s suit. |

- The Silver One looks like Disco-Meets-Techno. Remember how they say that the Hot Ice opener to Friday the 13th Part 3 is actually disco rather than techno? Remember how the OG Gavan actually had an insert "Disco Gavan"? This silver suit feels like the inevitable progression to techno. Not bashing either Disco or Techno here. Merely saying that bridge between them exists, and this suit feels like a bridge. - The Gold One feels like that Gold Redeco of Gavan Bootleg from the Uchuu Keiji Next Generation Movies. - The Red One reminds of Doras (Red) from the Kamen Rider ZO Movie. - The Mecha in its Vehicular Gun Mode (if you can call it that) reminds me of Carranger's Red Vehicle (Red Lightning Turbozord), Timeranger/Time Force's Raimei Tank, and G1 Cyclonus. The Robot Mode looks like something from the Unicron Trilogy of Transformers. I'm actually thinking of Sky Shadow and Terradive from Energon, two of the component robots for Superion Maximus. Again, this is about what the designs remind me of based on feeling. |
Man I am loving the suit designs. Definitely feels like a good update of the 1980s greebling so prevalent on the OG Space Sherrifs.
And of course they're not giving up on the giant mecha lol. |
So the leaked names were slightly off. Silver is actually Gavan Bushido and gold is Gavan Luminous. And the robo is named Cosmo Gavarion GC-R.
And yeah, all three heroes are definitely dudes. |
Huh, so Faiz, Kaixa, and Delta. :lolol
Joking aside I love the suits. |
Pretty cool looking, I think I like Luminous the most of these three. The mecha looks pretty unremarkable, but it does look like a fairly agile suit at least. Final judgement will have to wait until I see the suits in motion, but it's all quite promising.

Hmm, the amount of greebling on old metal heroes was often a bit much for my taste so I was expecting to dind these suits too cluttered, but I actually quite like them. The gradients are a neat touch. The robot... uh... certainly is there. And what the heck is Luminous holding?
|
I'm also curious about those little battery-shaped things with what appear to be monster faces inside them? Given the concept of space sheriffs, my first guess is that they're for capturing the monsters of the week, but maybe monsters as a power source sold well enough in Gotchard, Gavv and Zeztz that Toei wants to just put it in everything now XD
