I've not heard good things about Kamen Rider Outsiders, but I loved Geats, Ex-Aid, and Zero-One, so I'm cautiously optimistic about Zeztz now that we know the head writer is Takahashi.

I just hope this season will not only fight in dreams, but everyone will soon start being aware of the Nightmares & Baku as Zeztz.

Yeah, Takahashi will just dug himself to the grave deeper. Not that he's flawless, but it would be just tiring to deal with further irrational criticisms about him due to him being constantly present, per the 2 KR series. Inoue and Kobayashi only appeared 3 times as the head writer.

Are we gonna get ourselves a sandman in the mix too?

I've enjoyed every Takahashi Rider show I've watched, I think he's overhated, but even I think it's a little too soon for him to come back especially when I can just read the cast list and tell "Oh, this is a Takahashi show."

I mean, I'm probably going to enjoy it, but this literally the dudes' fourth Rider show in like eight years. Even Yasuko Kobayashi only did like two Sentai and two Rider shows.

That being said...props for making the bike actually plot relevant. Make him an actual main character/leader of the Main Riders' organization, that'll get around Japanese Road Laws!

Also I think Nemu is totally going to be the Tertiary. I mean, say what you will about Takahashi's writing of female characters (I think Geats was the best on that front), he's pretty much always had a female Rider in his seasons (and twice as the tertiary). She even fits the actress/idol mold that we had with Neon/Poppy. Also that she can change outfits in the dream world probably means she's going to have a spectacular wardrobe.

I admit I don't keep close track of who wrote which season, but it sounds like Takahashi's past work has mostly been stuff I liked, so I'm cautiously optimistic. My biggest concern would be burnout, but writing that many past seasons suggests he really likes writing Kamen Rider, so hopefully it won't be a problem.

Problem is Takahashi wrote Outsiders between Geats and this, and Outsiders was total trash. I'm hoping his worst tendencies will be reined in. But they already announced the first of what will probably be several TTFC spin-offs (which will probably be plot important) during the press conference so my hopes are definitely low.

Yeah, I think there's potential in this premise if it's done right. But I'm sure it's about to get convoluted.

Kobayashi actually had 3 main Riders and 4 Sentai. Although I certainly wish she capped at 3.

A spectacular wardrobe would be nice. Feels like Izu and Tsumuri had their entire wardrobe budget blown on one outfit, so I'd like to see more variety in Nemu.

I have no doubt he really likes writing Kamen Rider, considering how it was his request to write Geats all on his own and Takebe eventually had to rein him in when he got carried away. A good writer needs more than just passion. A good writer needs to know the limits of what he can do alone and when to defer to the wisdom of others. Ironically, he understands this on a conceptual level, as Geats actually talks about the value of teamwork often, yet he cannot apply his moral to his own methods.

I had more faith when Minato was rumored to be producer, but this Yanaka guy was already assistant producer for EX-Aid and also, most alarmingly, Outsiders. However, I have no idea how he will function as chief, so I won't judge him yet. He absolutely needs to keep a tight grip on his reins.

I think the criticism is more about his female mascot characters, like Poppy/Izu/Tsumuri. Also I think Nemu would be one of them, and the tertiary one could be Baku's sister or a policewoman.

Speaking of which, how reasonable is it to make specials plot-wise important in the case of an international broadcast? TTFC seems to work only for Japan. I even think that the small volumes of additional content for Gavv are connected specifically to the broadcast in China.

Poppy was also a Rider too. And Izu too, albeit post-series.
